PLEASE READ ALL THE BELOW BEFORE APPLYING
TO BECOME A MANY TEARS FOSTERER
To be a Many Tears dog fosterer you need to meet the following criteria:
..................... | - | You must be an experienced dog owner who is at home most of the day. If you work from home please give details of the hours you work. Most of our dogs are scared and never lived in a home so need someone who has time to socialise and bring them forward so please bear that in mind.
|
- | You must have a very secure garden.
| |
- | Any children in the home need to be at least 5 years old and must be extremely experienced with dogs and understand how to behave around scared dogs.
| |
- | Any dogs in the home MUST be spayed/neutered.
| |
- | You must be able to email pictures and updates to the rescue on a regular basis |
Most of our dogs have never lived in a home and are very often extremely nervous and find this overwhelming at first so you must be prepared for this and have the time, patience and knowledge to help them. They will need socialising, house training and most will also need to learn how to walk on a lead. We will provide you with full support and there are team of experienced fosterers on our forum who will also be able to help and advise you.
We do not take on fosterers with a view to them fostering taking one dog and adopting it. We need long term fosterers who are prepared to take dogs on an ongoing basis.
Many Tears has foster runs to down the M4 as far as Reading where you can collect your dog from designated drop off points. We also have fosterers across the country who work together to move our dogs to foster homes BUT you must be willing and able to take a turn in doing the driving and collecting dogs for other fosterers.
AFTER YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE FORM PLEASE CHECK YOUR JUNK MAIL
