Foreign Currency, Banknotes and Coins
BANKNOTES AND COINS, MEMORABILIA - ANY ERA, ANY COUNTRY, ANY CONDITION
Eveyone has one of "those" containers or drawers with old and even obsolete banknotes, coins and old tokens.
High street exchanges and banks don't tend to take coins when people come back from holiday, so these small amounts can accumulate and lie in the dark as forgotten mementoes of journeys and holidays taken a long time ago.
You can really help Many Tears Animal Rescue continue it's work by donating old banknotes and coins etc., and it really doesn't matter how old they are, whether they have been demonetised (i.e British and irish old £1 and 5p coins, paper notes etc.), their condition or where they've come from in the world. Deutchmarks, Yuan, Ringitt, Guilders, pre-decimal British coins and banknotes - we collect everything.
It's generally the case that small amounts of coins and notes don't amount to much in terms of absoloute value ( unless they are special or rare) but when sorted and combined such donations can make a significant contribution to the rescue's fundraising efforts.
You can be sure our team of experienced volunteers go through all donations carefully and work hard to get the best value from absolutely every item.
Why not ask your friends, relatives and neighbours if they can add to the collection? Or perhaps you can run this as an initiative for fundraising for Many Tears in your school or neighbourhood/community group?
Please check those drawers, pots, purses and wallets for anything you can send through to Many Tears.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT SENDING ITEMS IN THE POST
Before posting, please check the dimension and weights of your package and make sure that this is correctly packed and with the right postage paid for services you are using.
It may be better to bring coins etc. with you on a visit to the rescue centre where we would be delighted to see you.
If your package is heavy, we could possibly be able to assist with transportation and you can email us at info@manytearsrescue.org to discuss this further.
