Knitting for MTAR

We have some lovely knitters who make fingerless gloves for us to sell. These are very popular with both staff and dog owners both male and femail. We would love to received some more if these if anyone would like to knitt them - they can be plain and or colourful.
If you want to decorate some of them get some old denim and cut with pinking sissors into a small square and set tear drop bead on these. The stitch these on to each glove and the hat. The tear bead would be a reference to our name - Many Tears and the beads can be bought really cheaply on Ebay. A pattern for these is below

Thank you

In addition to the gloves we are always looking for people who would like to knit coats to keep our dogs warm in the winter. The weather in Wales can be really cold in the winter months and although our kennels all have heat lamps many of our dogs need a little extra help to keep them warm.

We also sell coats and other knitted items at events to help raise funds. Crochet items are also gratefully received but unfortunately not crochet coats or blankets as we find the dogs claws can get caught in them.

If you need patterns for knitted coats or have wool you would like to donate please email the rescue. If you can post your knitted items to Many Tears Animal Rescue, Cwmlogin House, Cefneithin, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire SA14 7HB that would be wonderful. info@manytearsrescue.org to see if we have a fosterer near you who may be able to collect them and get to Many Tears.

Thank you!
