01-02-25 Clover is a stunningly beautiful girl who has come to us from a home. She has been very well loved and her family were so sad to rehome her, but unfortunately Clover does resource guard around food and as they had young children, it was in Clovers best interest to be rehomed. While Clover does resource guard around food, this is easily managed as once she has finished her food she is absolutely fine and will allow you to pick up her bowl. It's only while she's actually eating that she can growl and may snap, for this reason she is not fed any chews or long lasting treats. Due to this she will need an adult only home with no visiting children and with adopters who have experience of dogs with similar issues.
Clover is an extremely sweet and loving girl who is so very gentle. She can be a little worried when she first meets you, but soon warms up to you and will slowly present her tummy to you and ask for tummy rubs. She is a very clever girly who knows lots of commands like "wait", "leave it", "through" (to sit between your legs when you're standing), "busy" (to go to the toilet), "here", "sit" and "down." She can walk well on a lead and we are told that she is house trained, although may need some reminders in her new home. In the right home Clover is going to truly thrive and be the best friend you could ever wish for. She is confident enough to be homed as an only dog but she could also live with other kind dogs as long as their owner was confident managing any food guarding issues with another dog. We would love to see her back in a home as soon as possible so please don't leave her waiting.
