14-01-2025 Elvis is a little light in a dark room. He is a happy, inquisitive boy who has a kind soul and wonderful personality! Elvis has come to us from a home due to no fault of his own with his friend Socks due to their owners health issues. Although they have come from a home, we are told that they primarily lived in outdoor kennels and would spend the night in them but were allowed in and out of the home during the day. Elvis is a smart boy and so we think he will pick up training well. He is an active boy and will need an active home that helps him get all this energy and brain power out! Elvis walks well on a lead and we are told he is house trained however as he was an outdoor dog in his previous home, he may need some patience and a refresher on his house training skills! Elvis is a happy and confident boy that in the right circumstances could go as an only dog or he could easily live with other dogs too! Elvis will make a great addition to someone's home and we hope he isn't waiting too long.
30-01-24 UPDATE
Elvis is a super happy and playful young man. He’s been with us a few weeks now and what a little darling he has turned out to be. He’s always super excited to see you anytime you enter his kennel and showers you in love and affection. He’s quite jumpy and can get over excited in his kennel but once he’s out of it or down our big yard he seems to settle down and be more soft, he just wants to be next to you all the time.
Elvis walks lovely on the lead but can pull sometimes when he wants to say hello to someone or another dog. He’s very foodie so training him will be an enjoyable experience for everyone, I also think he would really enjoy the mental stimulation of having training sessions.
I think the best home for Elvis will be someone who’s had dogs before, he could be an only dog or go with resident dog(s) as he shares his kennel beautifully.
It would be best if any children in the home were older dog savy as stated earlier he can sometimes jump up to say hello! He cannot live with cats. To summarise he really is the perfect boy who will make a house a home and I hope he doesn’t have to wait too long.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
