15-11-2024 Dreamer is a gorgeous but quiet girl who gentle wags her tail when approached. She is inquisative but unsure at the moment and relies on her kennel friends for support. Dreamer will need a home with at least one other dog to help her settle into her new home and this will also help her with house training and lead walking etc as she will watch then and start to copy what they do once she feels more confident. We are told she has met children and been fine so we would consider homing her with older dog savvy ones who are very kind and gentle and old enough to understand we will need a little time to adjust and get used to them. Dreamer has a cracked tooth but this isn't causing her problems at the moment but will need to be monitored in the future. She has a PETs travel document.
18-11-2024 UPDATE
Introducing Dreamer ?? If you are looking for an extra special dog with the X Factor - then she is your girl! Dreamer arrived with me on foster yesterday and you would honestly think she’s lived here all her life! She is super sweet, friendly and loving and likes nothing more than snuggling in tight to you for a cuddle. She enjoys a play in the garden with her foster sisters and toys but the minute I sit down, she is right by my side and quickly falls asleep. She is a petite lurcher and currently weighs 8.3kg, she is a similar size to a cockerpoo. Dreamer can be a bit worried and drop to the floor if you go to pick her up but settles happily once she realises your intentions are good. She also has a few scabs around her neck so clearly has had a bit of a rough time before coming into rescue. Despite this, she still has the sweetest, gentlest temperament and is just bursting with potential. She needs a kind, resident dog to be her friend and mentor and adults who are around most of the day as she’s only a baby. She could potentially live with older, dog savvy children. I have no way of testing her with cats unfortunately. Dreamer is on foster in Dursley, Gloucestershire.
Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
