09-11-24 George is a handsome white schnauzer who has come from his breeder to find a loving home. He is a worried boy who is very suspicious of human intentions as he hasnt seen much of the world before. He is fine if you approach him very slowly and take your time to get to know him and reassure him everything is ok. Once he trusts you he will happily approach you and investigate you, asking for a gentle fuss. If you go too fast he will panic - just as you or I would if a strager ran towards you with their arms wide open! He isnt keen on male dogs and would very much like a female dog in his new home to reassure him and show him home skills such as house training and how to walk on a lead. He would find children overwhelming so is looking for a kind and calm home. When he settles he is going to be amazing!

19-11-24 UPDATE

George has had a very busy few days, he has slept almost most of the time as I am guessing he hasn't had much rest. He loves that is clean and dry indoors, he had a bath and although very scared he did let me put a harness. He was absolutely terrified of walking through the door, so we had an uber carry to the car and participated in his first field outing. This boy is a dream, loves cuddles and ask for a pick up. Currently living with 6 fur sisters, but not social with boy dogs. Can you offer Gorgeous George his forever home?

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
