03-11-24 Bailey has come to us from a home through no fault of his own due to a case of hoarding and neglect. He has a Grade 2 heart murmur but doesn't require any medication at the moment, but this is something his adopter and their vet will need to monitor. He has sore skin which our vet is treating. Bailey has narrowing of the ear canals in both ears and has had treatment for an ear infection in one ear. Bailey is also sadly partially sighted and so needs an adopter that is understand of this.
Bailey is an absolute darling boy who adores cuddles, loves to give kisses and gets so excited when he hears you nearby. Bailey would like another kind and confident resident dog in his new home to be his friend and help him to adjust to his new life. Although he has lived in a home before we are unsure if he is house trained and so her might need to learn all about this as well as how to walk on a lead. He is a lovely boy and is going to make the most wonderful friend.
15-11-24 UPDATE
The first few days with us Bailey was quiet, very loving and didn’t interact much with my own dogs. This morning I woke up with a new dog!!! He suddenly didn’t want to be with me constantly but decided that the resident dog was fun to have around. They have played together on and off all day. Running around chasing one another. It was lovely to see him having so much fun. He definitely has some sight as he has no trouble running around and is so curious to see himself of sorts in the mirror. Bailey has been clean in the house, he travels well, walks on a harness and sleeps through the night. He adores everybody he meets and is absolutely fine with kids and other dogs. He is such a loving gentle soul who’s had a hard life so far and really deserves the love and kindness of a family of his own who will give him a second chance at life Bailey will need to have a kind playfull resident dog to be his friend in his new home.
11-12-2024 UPDATE
If you are looking for a perfect family dog then look no furhter than bailey, we would fit the bill. He is a happy chappie who loves everybody, kids and other dogs. He could easily live with children 7 and older and would love to play in the garden with them. He’s very agile and bouncy and puppy like but also likes to cwtch up on the sofa with you. He’s a bit of a lap dog. I do think he will also need a kind resident playful dog to live with so he’s not alone when left. He doesn’t like to be shut in behind closed doors and is much happier when doors are left open. He’s been clean in house and will need to sleep upstairs with you at night. He’s been sleeping on my bed but sometimes chooses his bed on the floor. He’s not blind as first thought as he doesn’t miss a trick and sees everything especially when he has zoomies with the resident dog here. He really deserves a family of his own who will spoil him. We hope he’s not having to wait too long
05-01-2025 UPDATE
I cannot believe Bailey is still available. He’s going to make such a great family dog. He loves everybody. I can just picture him running around the garden playing with the kids. He’s very puppy like, very energetic and agile and can run around like a miniature greyhound! so maybe best with children over 7. He will be their best friend for sure. Although he has loads of energy he also loves to cwtch on the sofa with you. He likes to watch the dog house on tv and can be a bit of a lapdog. He’s a confident fun loving boy who will need a kind playful resident dog to keep him company when you have to go out. I hope he’s not having to wait too long for his special family to find him.
23-01-25 UPDATE
Bailey is still waiting.
He adores everybody he meets and is fine with kids and dogs. He travels well and can jump in and out of car, is house trained, and walks well on lead.
He acts very much like a puppy. He’s funny, mischievous, bouncy, naughty, playful and extremely agile but will also chill out with you on the sofa.
He does have some sight loss, but nowhere near as much as first thought. It appears that his peripheral vision is affected although in his daily life you would never know.
He does zoomies, chases the ball, never misses a trick or anything edible dropped on the floor, he loves to watch dog programs on tv. He’s never bumped into anything and can run around the garden like a small greyhound. He has loads of energy and is such a happy soul. I really hope he won’t be waiting too much longer!
