31-10-2024 This little lady is Cardi, she is a adorable loving lady that has come to us from a home where the owner was hoarding dogs and could not cope. Cardi is a shy girl but after some time she will approach you and does really love fuss and attention when done calmly and on her own pace. Cardi is showing us that she wants to be loved and is just unsure about human kindness but with time we know she is going to shine so bright. Cardi will need a home with another resident dog as she has always been around other dogs and another dog will help her settle into her new forever home and also give her a helping paw with training. Cardi will need to be taught house manners such as toilet training and how to walk on a lead. Cardi will need adopters that are able to give her unlimited time and patience to help her settle in and come out of her shell, she already shows us how much she wants to be loved so we know she won't take long to understand human kindness.
22-11-24 UPDATE
Cardi has been in foster with us for nearly 2 weeks and what an absolute sweetheart she is!
She has settled so quickly and has become so loving and trusting despite the start of life she has had. She is such a joy to have in the house...she has become completely toilet trained in 2 days, now going on command in the garden!
Cardi is so loving and enjoys cuddles with anyone and gets on really well with our medium kind and gentle resident dog. She LOVES her food and will follow me round when she knows its coming up to her feeds. She has been brilliant with visiting people...immediately wagging her tail and happy to take residence on a comfy lap as soon as possible. She's starting to show an inquisitive side, exploring more around the garden and house, but keen to keep us in her sight. She's recently started having little Zoomies round the garden which is fabulous to see.
She's great with a harness and lead. She was very brave having her vaccination at the vets....she was understandably nervous, but coped really well with lots of reassurance.
She's got the most beautiful shiny coat and a stunning fox-like tail with a white tip.
She will make someone an incredible loyal and loving companion. She will need the friendship of at least 1 kind medium to small size dog, although it's lovely that she is also very human focussed. What a dream she is."
