08-10-2024 Flurry is a little angel who has come to us from a breeder. She is very sweet and will allow you to fuss her and show her love and affection but is not as confident as she could be and will need a resident dog or dogs to help her learn how to be a dog that is loved by her pawrents. A resident dog will also help Flurry when it comes to learning house skills such as toilet training, house manners and lead training as she will watch what the do and then start to copy. Flurry deserves to be in a home full of paitents and kindness and somewhere that she can build her confidence and once this is achieved we know she will be a perfect pooch.
19-11-2024 UPDATE
Flurry has been in Foster a few weeks and is making amazing progress, she is becoming more trusting and learning that human hands can be kind and loving. She spent the first couple of weeks laying on her bed and watching the goings on, but over time she became a very curious girl! Flurry loves to have human attention, she gets excited in the morning, waggy tail and a beautiful smile, (even if we've just left the room for some time she get excited when we come back). She loves a belly tickle and she high fives and paws happily and excitedly while propped into the corner of the sofa while getting a fuss.
She is a gentle and soft mouthed girl around us humans and is happy for attention but she is equally happy to lay and relax. She is not pushy for attention and happily shares the attention with her other doggy friends here with us. Flurry walks nicely on a harness and lead and enjoys a lot of sniffing and exploring like I said she is a very curious girl! Flurry makes friends with many dogs instantly but is still nervous around others, she is currently living with a pack of 9. She shows interest in some dogs and others she doesn't want to interact with as much, making her a little on edge. Flurry eats separately in a pen and sleep downstairs in a pen with one of her cocker spaniel friends that she has become very fond of. Flurry will need slow introductions to other dogs to build her confidence and help her learn that having a doggy pal can be fun! I think Flurry would be suited as an only dog providing she had someone at home most of the day. She would need an adult only home. It isn't possible to cat test Flurry so only applicants without cats can be considered.
Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
