24-08-24 Cindy is an incredibly sweet dog and absolutely loves affection from her humans, she really is everything and more you could want from a best friend. In her foster home Cindy got along well with every single dog from tiny Bichons to big bouncy young dogs, however when she went to her forever home she was not willing to share her human with a visiting dog in her home that she had met before, this resulted in her being returned. She is now back at Many Tears and has settled in really well, she continues to get along well with all dogs when out socialising, but if she is sharing her kennel with another dog she can get very jealous when they recieve fuss from any humans inside the kennel. For this reason, we feel like Cindy would be best suited to a home as an only dog where she can receive all the fuss and attention for herself. She would like her adopters to be around most of the time so she can have lots of attention and enrichment through the day to ensure all her needs are met. In the right circumstances we would consider homing her with a laid back, large male dog as long as the adopter had experience with similar behaviours. She does enjoy the company of other dogs so we would love her to still be able to socialise with dogs regularly on walks etc.
Cindy can walk well on a lead and loves a gentle fuss. If you are able to give her all the love she deserves, have a calm adult home without visiting dogs or in an environment where this can be managed well then Cindy will be perfect for you. She will need to go to the groomers and be brushed regularly. She is such a stunning girl who just wants to be loved, please don't keep her waiting.
04-09-24 UPDATE
Cindy Lou has settled really well back in kennels, better than I expected! She's still the same old snuggle bug who is desperate to be under your skin all the time! She absolutely shouldn't still be here waiting! She's the ideal only dog. She doesn't pull on lead, is friendly and playful with other dogs, she just doesn't like to share her chosen human! She's polite as anything with her snuggles, she does jump up but it's very slowly and considerately, asking for all the affection you have to give.
Please don't leave her waiting here much longer!

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
ADOPTION DETAILS
If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.
