If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

15-02-25 Teddy is a very handsome puppy who has come to us from a home as unfortunately his owners were unable to cope with him. If you are a Shih Tzu lover, you will know that they can be a little naughty, stubborn and headstrong, which is just part of their charm! Teddy has been assessed by out vets and has a possible reduceable umbilical hernia, which is being monitored. Teddy is still in the mouthy stage of puppyhood and can turn into a bit of a "land shark", which his adopters struggled to handle. With clear boundaries and a good training plan in place, he will grow out of this and learn his manners. We think he may have missed out on some of his early socialisation as he's a little frightened of the world at the moment and gets quite worried by new experiences and is very worried meeting new dogs too. He is young enough that this can be turned around and he can grow into a well rounded, adult dog. He will need adopters who are willing to put in the effort to training him and who will take him to puppy classes and ensure he is regularly socialised and gently exposed to lots of new environments/people and noises. With time, love and kindness he will soon start to blossom into the most wonderful little boy and is going to make the most amazing friend! Teddy will be looking for a home where there is another kind and confident resident dog who can help guide him and teach him all about being a hapy and confident dog. We are told that he is puppy pad trained, but he may need some reminders of this in his new home and he can also walk on a lead. He does have an undershot jaw and an umbilical hernia which will need to be repaired at the time of his neuter.

You will be asked to sign a contract confirming you will spay/neuter a puppy and we ask that a puppy attends puppy classes so they can socialise with other dogs and people.
