20-11-24 Debut is a beautiful and a little nervous lady that has come to us from a breeder to find her best home. She is a very frightened girl who will try her hardest to get away from us at the moment as she is feeling very overwhelmed and unsure. She relies on ker kennel friends to reassure her and will need a kind resident dog in her new home to lend her somemuch needed confidence.. Since Debutl has not had the chance to live in a home just yet, she will need her new adopters to be kind as she learns new skills such as how to walk on a lead and house triaining. She may be a little timid now, but we are hopeful with gained trust patience and love she will become the amazing companion we are sure she could become! She will need regular trips to the groomers as she has a curly coat. She needs a calm adult home to help her relax. She has a PETS passport travel doc.

19-12-24 UPDATE

Woooof my name is Debut, I am a 2 year old, female poodle x. I arrived at this wonderful place called Many Tears around a month ago and when I first arrived here I had just been through a 2 day journey, and it was quite an ordeal for me. As you can see in my first write up I was scared and extremely unsure of myself. I was also very matted and struggled with my first grooming session, so much so I had to be left half done…I’m due to try again in the next few days so my next update will probably show off what I look like after that’s happened. My first couple of days here at Many Tears I couldn’t even find the confidence to come out of my bedroom and I just huddled up as tight as I could against any kennel friend of mine I could find. When I met my kennel dad I was so unsure about what was about to happen as he arrived at my kennel gate…I tried my hardest to follow my kennel friends out to this big green area they call a yard. I initially followed but as I came out my kennel door and heard all the noise from other dogs I ran back to my bedroom. My kennel dad quite clearly wasn’t going to allow me to stay in there alone so he came in very slowly and had this stupid voice saying it’s ok, it’s all going to be alright. I obviously couldn’t believe this as most of my interactions with the 2 legged kind haven’t been the most positive. After a few more silly noises he progressively came towards me with some smelly treats, I couldn’t resist them so I ate them all. I kind of started to realise maybe this guy is different and I decided to take a leap of faith and allow him to touch me..it really wasn’t as bad as I thought and after a couple of ear tickles he asked if he could pick me up, and so I let him. He then carried me out to that big green area and put me down, I was greeted by my kennel buddies who reassured me that this was a safe place and that I could let my hair down. I’ve been in the same kennel since I arrived and this has helped massively…being in routine and having the same careful approach by the 2 legged kind has made me become a lot more confident. I now run out to the yard with no hesitation…however I’m quite cheeky when it comes to going back in to my bedroom. I love the big green area so much that when my kennel dad comes in to call me in, I get zoomies and do laps of the yard…my kennel daddy will have to come in and carry me out. I am now also learning that those little bouncy, squeaky round things are fun to chase. My first few days here I struggled to find the confidence to join my kennel buddies at dinner time. But I am now a professional eater from a bowl, and I lick my bowl clean every time. In my new home I would be absolutely vital for me to have another kind resident dog to live with. Smaller children wouldn’t scare me too much, once I’ve settled in, and know that they aren’t going to hurt me I know I’ll be climbing on their laps for cuddles. Like I mentioned earlier I travelled 2 days to get here and I did require a pet travel document to do this, this will come with me as part of my adoption fee/price. I am growing in confidence daily, and as much as I love it here…Im sooo excited about meeting my new family. If you’d like to meet me or know more I am currently living at many tears animal rescue. Ps here are some snaps of me in the big green area.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
