05-11-2024 This is Maya, a pretty little lady that has come to us from her breeder to find a new home. Maya is a very active, very curious and very friendly lady who wants to play, love and be fussed. Maya loves exploring and sniffing round the yard so she will need an active household who are ready to take her on trips, walks and explorations so she can get her energy out (she is also very easily distracted and will need help focusing). Although Maya is from an ex-breeding background she could easily go an an only dog to the right people to entertain her all day. Maya will need some time and patience to learn house training such as manners and toilet training as she has never had to do so before, she will also have to adopt to house noises such as the TV, hoover and air frier! (however Maya is a very quick learner and she can already walk on the lead, anything for a treat!) Maya is a confident girly who in a short time is already showing us how much she wants to be loved.

Maya… what a stunning girl! If you’re a Husky lover then look no further. Maya is pretty confident and loves to have a fuss, especially an ear tickle. Her tail wags straight away when she sees you and she’s full of love! Maya is a tall girl (quite tall for a female husky) and does like to jump up for a fuss. With this in mind, we think it’s best to rehome her with older children 16+ who are dog savvy as younger could be knocked over. She can be homed as an only dog as she’s quite confident or with another resident dog, although her preference would be with another dog as she loves to play, and being a Husky, she has that pack mentality. Maya walks lovely on the lead and doesn’t react to other dogs on a walk. Because of her breed, Maya will need a lot of exercise and things to keep her brain busy. I absolutely adore this girl and think she’s just wonderful. Husky’s for some reason tend to be with us longer than others, but Maya really doesn’t deserve to be here for too long. She’s stunning, has a lovely temperament and is just so full of love.
Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
