If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

01-11-24 Clemmy is a very worried girl that has come to us from a home through no fault of her own as her owner had many, many dogs in a tiny space and could not cope. Clemmy is not very confident at the moment as she has not seen much of the world before. She will need a kind resident dog in her new home to rely on for support and comfort while she settles into her new home as she is used to being around her brothers and sisters, and kennel friends. Clemmy will need a home with no cats. Although Clemmy has come to us from a home, she will need her adopters to be kind as she learns new skills such as house training and how to walk on a lead, as she has not had the chance to learn just yet! Once Clemmy has settled in with you, she is easy to handle and will allow a genlte fuss. She would suit best in a calm and quiet home environment, so children may not be the best situation for her. Clemmy is really an adorable girl, but is very frightened here in the kennels and so we are hoping she doesnt have to stay for long!

17-11-2024 UPDATE

If you want a constant companion and a new best friend look no further than Clemmy. Clemmy is one of the most cuddliest dogs you could wish to meet! She’s has come from a house full of dogs and now only wants to be as close to her fosterers as she’s allowed, paying little interest in the 3 resident dogs. She demands a place next to you on your chair moving away only fleetingly to be get warm by the fire. At night she likes to sleep as close as possible to her fosterers and struggles with sleeping away from them. She enjoys a double leaded walk in our local wooded area, showing only a positive reaction to other dogs and their owners When prompted she is 100% house clean but still struggles to come through a door way when being watched. Ear to toe she no taller than a 30cm ruler weighing under 9kg she’s the perfect size for anyone’s lap. Clemmy’s only wish is a home of her own to share with someone who is mainly there with her and enjoys adventures she can be part of.

01-12-2024 UPDATE
Clemmy is becoming her own personality as her time in foster care progresses. Her confidence is growing alongside her likes and dislikes. Unfortunately she no longer appears to respect the boundaries required with our resident Cat who, she runs after on any occasion she is allowed. Our cat is dog “savvy” and has her own area away from dogs but Clemmy would be better suited in a cat free home. She would also suit a chicken free household as she does her very best to access them proving she can squeeze through the one 10cm gap in their boundary area and chase them! She continues to want physical close proximity of her fosterers but will now on occasions choose one of the larger dogs in their baskets allowing fosterers to sit alone. She copes well when left for short periods I.e popping to supermarket when left with other dogs but continues to seek reassurance at night preferring to sleep in a dog bed on upstairs landing/ bedroom floor close closer to fosterers. This maybe a symptom of her background and may never change if isolated away from family members at night. If new owner is based at home with time and space on their chair for and a lifestyle that allows social contact with other dogs Clemmy could be considered as an only dog. She has started to learn to play and would need regular contact with dogs for her to fully discover the joy of play and zoomies. She walks easily on the lead and is learning to sit on command but will need time for training to support her social skills including lead work.

18-12-24 UPDATE

Clemmy has learnt the joy of companionship and has found the fun of play! Spending less time with her fosterers she has now found snuggles from a larger dog to be a good way of keeping herself warm in the winter.
A morning person she loves nothing more than a zoomie with her friend who is a much larger older dog. She loves to chase the ball but the concept of returning it is still a work in progress.
She still loves her fosterers company and is ideal for a cuddle in the evening . She enjoys her walks and is eager to experience any new adventures and sleeps well throughout  the night .
Clemmy is ready for a home of her own now, where she can develop her own routines within her own family.
