31-10-2024 Clifford has come from a home where there were too many dogs in a small space. He has a retained testicle that the vet will take a look at when he is neutered. This very smiley boy is Clifford and all he wants from you is love and affection, cuddles and kisses and your time. Clifford will happily approach you with his tail flying round looking for a head scratch, he really is a super friendly boy. Cliff has been around dogs all his life and has come to us from a home due to no fault of his own, however he is building up confidence and in the right circumstances he could be an only dog in the home. Clifford will need some time and patience while he learns his new house manners such as toilet training and lead walking, but with the help of another resident dog we believe he will pick these things up quickly! All Clifford wants is to be loved and know what it feels like to be a beloved part of a family, he is a sweetheart inside and out and would make an amazing sidekick when given the chance!
He has slightly narrow ear canals and when he arrived he did have a ear infection which was treated. Due to his narrow ear canals this may be reoccuring and would not be covered by insurance. Clifford would make an amazing sidekick for a family, he can also be homed with teenage kids that understand he will need time to settle.

20-11-2024 UPDATE

I met Clifford for the first time today and he came straight up to me for a fuss! It was such a lovely welcome. You can tell straight away how much he loves being around people and just wants to surround himself in an abundance of love. He is a happy and confident boy but he has lived in a home with quite a few dogs all his life so is used to having them around for company, so because of this I feel he will still need a resident dog around in his new home. Clifford enjoys being out exploring his surroundings and walks great on the lead. Having been moved from everything he knows, he hasn't let this set him back, he has taken it all in his stride and is becoming more confident as the days go by. He is such a wonderful boy with a beautiful personality.

Clifford the big (small) red dog!! I know we shouldn't have favourites, but out of this group of crossbreeds, Clifford is definitely a firm staff favourite. He's an absolute sweetheart who is obsessed with any human who will give him attention. He toddles around spending the day cuddled under a heatlamp, waiting for his next fuss. He shares his dinner with his doggy friends really well and is just so so sweet. Most of Clifford's friends that he came in with are reserved for a home or have already gone home, and it's so sad to see Clifford left here waiting, when he is such a special sweetheart! Hopefully he'll be back in a warm home for Christmas!
