If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

29-10-24 Kingston is an absolutely beautiful guy but is very shut down at the moment. He has not had the chance to gain confidence yet, and is having a hard time trusting and approaching humans. He relys heavily on his kennel mates for comfort and follows them around the yard as he is not confident enough on his own. Kingston will need a very kind and gentle resident dog that will allow him the time and support to grow his trust in his new home. As Kingston has not had the chance to live in a home, he will need his adopters to be understanding while he learns new skills such as house training and how to walk on a lead. Kingston will need a home where his adopters are experienced with ex-breeding dogs as it seems Kingston has seen some pretty dark days and is needing someone who can understand why he is so scared, and allow him the time and patience he needs to settle in. Although we will do our very best to to reinforce to Kingston that we are trusting worthy and loving people, the kennels are not the best place for him to learn as he is so overwhelmed - and so we are hoping that he wont be here for long and that he will find a nice quiet home, free of young and active children to rest, build his confidence and gain a loving family.

11-11-2024 UPDATE
Kingston is a lovely little guy that adores his kennel friends but is finding kennel life quite overwhelming. He’s trying his best to be brave and interact with us and with the help of some friends, he will get closer. With the right adopters I’m sure he will thrive in a home setting, he just needs a bit of security and confidence. He’s learning to walk lead & is slowly picking it up. He enjoys having other dogs in the kennel which is boosting his confidence bit by bit. So will need a calm resident dog to help him settle would be a must for the beautiful boy. Unfortunately we cannot home him with children due to his lack of confidence but would make a great dog for the right owners.

01-12-24 UPDATE
Kingston is as beautiful on the inside as he is on the outside and he’s looking for his first (and forever) home .. could it be with you?
Kingston came to us from a breeder a few weeks back. He was a very timid and shy boy when he first arrived, but he’s made a lot of progress since being here and is coming out of his shell more and more every day. He’s been on my section for about 3 weeks and he now gets very excited to see me every day, he’ll give me lots of kisses in the morning as his way of saying hello, AND he’s already starting to enjoy a little fuss under his ears and will ask me for more when I stop. If he can do this in just a couple of weeks, imagine how amazing he’ll be in a home!?
He would love a calm, adult only home with at least 1 kind resident dog to be his friend and his guide. He’s never been in a home before so he may be a little overwhelmed at first, and he’ll also need to learn all the basics such as house training and lead walking .. and everything in between!! His adopters will need to be patient with him and very understanding of any worries or fears he may have. I think he may be quite withdrawn at first, but I do think he’ll settle quite quickly in the right home. He’ll just need to be given some time to decompress and a lot of TLC. I really hope he doesn’t have to wait too much longer.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
