24-10-24 Lovely Fred has come to us from the Pound with a very sad story to tell. He was found having been tied up on a bridge, abandoned and waiting in the rain for his owners to return but they never did. He served his time in the pound and was not claimed so he is now here with us to find the home that he deserves.
Darling Fred is a friendly boy who is desperate to be loved and wants to make friends with everyone he meets. He is into everything and anything and hates to feel left out of all the goings on at the rescue! He wants to be right in the middle of everything and will be the life of the party come Christmas! He may need a reminder with house training so will need your patience and encouragement as he settles and learns all about home life.
Fred can struggle with his emotions sometimes and doesnt know how to direct his frustrations. He will need plenty of exercise, mental stimulation and boundaries so he can understand the world. He will need an adult home without children.

20-11-2024 UPDATE
Fred was found having been tied up on a bridge, abandoned and waiting in the rain for his owners to return but they never did. He served his time in the pound and was not claimed so he is now here with us to find the home that he deserves.
Fred needs to be an only dog, we feel he hasn’t been socialised much and is very reactive to other dogs when on a lead or on the other side of the fence, however if he is in an open space with a dog larger than himself he can reside around other dogs, if you have a dog currently they would definitely need to be bigger than him, Fred is around the height of a small cocker Spaniel, he is one of the tallest frenchies I’ve ever met. He is the most gorgeous, perfectly blended colour I’ve ever seen. I’ve worked with Fred for about 2 weeks now and he is just your perfect complete frenchie. He absolutely adores people, his food and play time. Fred is looking for a very basic home and could slot in to most homes.
Fred was very skinny and is currently receiving an extra meal to help build him back up. He is currently on a raw diet but that is only to build him up, he wouldn’t need to continue this for life, unless the new adopters would want to. Fred will need an active home without young children not because he is mouthy but because he likes to run like an idiot and will continue into your path, and jump up excited. If Fred was socialised more and better towards new dogs I’d have fostered him myself!

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
