09-10-2024 Maple has come to us from a breeder. She is a very nervous girl who is not used to human touch and needs to be shown that there is kindness in the world. Maple will need someone understanding and patient who will work with her to settle into her forever home and into a world full on love. Maple has seen our vet and had 2 very large inguinal hernias repaired, her teeth have been scaled and her ears cleaned so she will be feeling much more comfortable soon. Maple relies on her kennel mates and will need to go to a home with another resident dog or dogs to give her a helping paw at learning about house training etc Maple is a sweetheart that just wants to be loved. She has no idea about lead walking and this is something her new owners will need to work on once they have gained her trust. They will need to start practicing in the garden and then progress outside in quiet area. In time and with owners who really understand her needs Maple will slowly start to flourish and become the happy girl she should have always been.
15-10-2024 UPDATE
Maple had a hernia repaired at the time of her spay but sadly this has returned and so our vets will take another look and see if they are able to repair it again. It isn't bothering her and she is recovering well.

Maple is the sweetest girl ever and is trying her hardest to be brave! Maple is still very unsure on human touch and is still learning that humans aren't scary but with time she’s becoming more understanding of this! She will stay at arms length away from people but will have the waggiest tail while doing so. Beyond this, Maple is easy to handle when she needs to be.
You will usually find Maple during the days cuddling in the back of her kennel with her kennel friends. She relies on them so much so would definitely need at least one kind resident dog in her home to show her the ropes!
Maple really does deserve all the world, and hopefully it won't take too long for her to find her forever home, and have a nice cosy home to settle into and call her own!

Maple is an absolute gorgeous girl and is just soooo beautiful yet is still having a hard time with kennel life. She is still nervous to come close to anyone new but now has the biggest bum wiggle EVER! She has gotten more confident than when she first arrived with us and just needs a lot of reassuring that us humans aren’t all that bad, and once she fully understand that, I feel that she’s going to have so much love to give. Maple has the most gorgeous golden curly ears and biggest saddest eyes that captures your heart as you look in to them. Maple has started harness training which will take time and patience but with the love of her new family, she will soon thrive. As stated previously, Maple will still need a kind and confident resident dog in her new home that will show her what home life is all about from the general house rules to the bestest of places to sleep and cuddle. Maple really deserves to break out of kennels and start her new days in her forever home. Maple will need to go to an adult only home and someone with ex breeding experience but with time she will truly thrive.
Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
