05-10-24 This lovely fellow is Mars and he has come from his breeder to find a loving home. He has some patchy skin, but we are hopeful this can be fixed with a healthy diet. He has a Grade 4-5 heart murmur that will need to be monitored in his new home with his new vet. He started medication for this which will need to be continued and for this reason he is by donation only. Mars is will gently come over to you for a fuss and is happy enough that in the right circumstances we would consider homing him as an only dog but he could also be homed with other kind dogs. He does warm up quickly as soon as he realises that we are kind and he literally melts as we show him some gentle love. He has never lived in a home, so he will need to learn about house training and how to walk on a lead. Mars has arrived with a cherry eye that our vet will repair when he is neutered. He is looking for a calm home without children as he would find them a bit mcuh at the moment. He is a lovely boy and we think he is going to love his new way of life.

Mars is a handsome young man who has come from a breeder. He’s nervous but extremely sweet and is easy to handle with no trouble whatsoever. He's currently learning to walk on a harness and lead and is taking to it quite well even though the world is quite scary to him. He allows us to fit the harness and lead with ease, and walks a short walk to the yard and back with encouragement. Despite being nervous, he's always curious to approach me in the kennel and allows me to stroke his head. He's come a long way in a short amount of time so I can only imagine what the next few months will bring for him. In the right circumstances, with adopters who were around most of the time, we would consider homing him as an only dog.

This is Mars, a gorgous 3 yr old boy who’s been with us for a little while now and has blossomed in this time. He’s an ex-breeder that was quite shy when he first arrived but has now gotten to the point of being able to be the only dog in the home.
Mars loves his walks, and you can usually find him head down in the grass! And he also loves playing in the yard and getting up to all kinds of trouble! He is curious and fun, and it’s been a pleasure watching him grow, although if he can progress this much in kennels, he could definitely progress much quicker in a home!
Mars would love a calm home with a nice big garden and a family who can love him and give him the treats he soooo loves! He’s a little too shy at the moment to be homed with children, but a nice cosy sofa to call his own wouldn’t go amiss!
Mars would love a family that could help him learn home life and build his confidence and show him everything he’s missed out on in these few years. He’s such a curious boy that I don’t think it’ll take long for him to fall in love with his new adopters!

Mars is very pleased to tell you he now shares a kennel with his little friend Coconut. Mars and Coconut enjoy sniffing in the yard together and when it’s time to go back to the kennel, they sometimes enjoy a little snuggle, which is lovely to see. This now means we can see Mars would enjoy the company of a smaller dog in any potential home that is considering this sweet boy.
Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
