12-09-24 Imp is a sweetheart who has come from her breeder to find a loving home. She has arrived with what looks like cataracts in both eyes and may have dry eyes so she will need to see our vets for this. Imp is a darling dog who is trying her very best to be brave and watch you from across the kennel with a waggy tail but is less sure of herself when you approach her. She does enjoy a gentle fuss but she really adores her kennel friends. She doesnt yet walk on a lead but with the support of a kind person who has plenty of patience and a lovely resident dog to lead the way we dont think it will take her very long to learn about this and all about other home skills. She has never lived inside before so will need to learn all about house training and get used to the sights and sounds of home. With a little encouragement and lots of love she will soon get the hang of everything and will love being someones special girl. Imp has a Grade 2 Heart murmur which does not currently require medication but will need to be monitored by adopters vets.

17-09-24 UPDATE
Imp has been seen by our vets and they have noted she has severe cataracts in both eyes which has resulted in approximately 95% loss of sight. The vets have said that Imp is a candidate for referral to a specialist to examine Imp's eyes and see if they can help. She also has dry eye and is on daily drops for this. She has now been spayed and had a dental and our vets have noted she has peridontal disease.

27-09-24 UPDATE

Imp is the sweetest little angel who I met for the first time today and she was a dream. I walked into her kennel and she would make her way over to me slowly. I could tell she LOVED to have fuss and a scratch on her head, She would stay on your lap all day! Her confidence has grown a lot since being here, she now has confident to come up to you by herself. Imp is amazing with all dogs and loves to have company. She loves to snuggle up to her kennel buddy’s in the back and sleep most of the day. She is amazing at sharing her food and toys also! She is honestly the sweetest little girl ever. We would recommend calm resident dogs and savvy children. Will you give her a loving, warm home?

08-10-24 UPDATE
Imp has moved to a foster home and will be referred for an assesment with a specialist vets to see if anything can be done to help her vision and we will update further after her appointment.

20-11-24 UPDATE

Imp has now been with me for 3 weeks and has had her cataract operation, all went very well and today she had her first checkup and got a 5 star rating !! Fingers crossed she will continue to heal and her sight will get better and better with time.
She is SUPER friendly, loves people, dogs and walks. She sleeps soundly all night is housetrained and very well behaved in every aspect. She really is a darling and whoever gets to adopt this sweetheart will be very lucky.
If you are interested please be aware that she will need eye drops for the rest of her life and also a checkup once a year with an ophthalmic vet, the eye drops will be about £20 a month and before applying please look to see what your local vet would charge for a check up.

17-12-24 UPDATE
Imp (known as Tia ) continues to improve and heal from the cataract surgery, she is an absolute favourite at the vets and all the staff give her extra cuddles which she now demands !! She is one of the happiest dogs I’ve fostered and is very loyal, affectionate and kind. She walks great on the lead and goes out to toilet. She is very attached to me and follows me everywhere ( she is happy to be left for shopping trips and sleeps at night in the kitchen) but she will need time to form a similar bond with her new owner. She LOVES her walks so an active home would be great. I really can’t find anything negative to say about her, whoever gets to adopt her will have a true friend and companion in Tia.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
