Status: ReservedID: 41876 Name: Noelle ^ Breed: Shih Tzu Cross Bichon Frise Age: 5 Years Gender: Female Adoption Fee: See below | |
Location: In Foster in Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire |
23-08-24 Noelle has come to us from a breeder and she is feeling shy at the moment. She has a luxating patella on her back leg which could improve with a gentle introduction to exercise which will help keep her knee in place but she may need to be referred later on if she has difficulties with it. She is super sweet and easy to handle she is just unfamiliar with her new surroundings and being around us. She will need regular trips to the groomers and to be brushed often. She will need a home where there is at least one other kind dog to be her friend and who will allow her to cuddle up with them for comfort and support if she wants to and help her adjust to life in a home as she has never been in one before. She will need this dog to be larger than her. She will watch what they do and then start to copy them which will help her with house training. Noelle will need to learn about how to walk on a lead but with time, love and patience she will gradually start to realise she is loved and there is nothing to fear and her adopter will be rewarded with a devoted forever friend.

Well what can I say about the lovely Noelle (or Noodles as we call her here!). Noelle is such a lovely little girly, she is a delight to be around and doesn’t ask for much. Noelle has only been in foster with us for a week, and she’s made small bits of progress already! As you can see from the video, Noelle gets excited to see us now and interacting with us gives her the zoomies, she’s finally starting to relax although she does have her timid side still. She’s a funny little girl. At 5 years old she hasn’t seen much of what the world has to offer so it all needs to be taken at her pace. Noelle needs another kind resident dog, who is larger than her and who will let her snuggle with them in comfy doggy beds, and her humans need to give her time to adjust and once shes settled they need to slowly start harness training her (which we will start here). Her luxating patella is a low grade and it doesn’t alter her movement at all. She is such a funny dog to be around when she comes out of her shell, her people are going to be SO lucky.

Noelle is still is foster with us, and she has progressed SO much!! Noelle will now happily come up to you for a fuss and then allow you to pick her up. She’s very easy to handle. Sometimes, she does get a little more nervous and will move away, but she then lays down and allows you to pick her up. Noelle LOVES her food, that’s the way to her heart. She’ll happily take treats off you and this really does strengthen her bond with her people. Noelle is such a character, she’s always so happy and her tail doesn’t stop wagging, she is just a little delight to be around. Noelle is looking for her forever home to have another kind resident dog, who is larger than her and who will play and allow her to cuddle up in doggy beds (as she likes too) if she feels like she wants that extra reassurance! I really can’t believe she’s still with us, she’s such a good little dog.
Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
