23-08-24 Navy is a sweet girl who has come from her breeder to find a loving home. She is just like a larger sized Cav and is a really lovely poppet. Navy is shy around people but is very easy to handle. She gets on great with other dogs and is much happier when she is with her kennel friends. She will need a kind resident dog in her new homethat will lend her some much needed confidence. When we sit with her for a while she does warm up and will start to give tiny kisses and enjoy a gentle fuss. She will need some kind encouragement to help her settle into home life and some support to learn new skills such as house training and how to walk on a lead. She is a cav lovers dream girl who will truly shine and love her new way of life very soon.

10-09-24 UPDATE

This was the first time I've properly met Navy, and you can tell from the first meeting that she's a bit nervous, but she will come up to you and let you say hello and give her a fuss. She is a very sweet girl and I can see that she tries so hard to be confident and in time I think that she will gain more confidence around people without the help of her kennel friends. This is why we are advising for her to be adopted with a resident dog, they will help her grow in confidence and make her feel comfortable and provide her with doggy companionship, as well as help her with any training. Navy currently isn't walking on a lead so her new adopters will need to help train her in this, starting off with a harness, this is where her new doggy friend would be a massive help as she'll copy and learn what they do. Navy is a beautiful girl, and would make such an amazing new member of your family, if you think you could give her her forever home, then pop over to the rescue and say hello or complete an application and maybe we can set up a meet and greet, she's such a sweet girl, don't let her be stuck in kennels any longer than she has to be.

07-10-24 UPDATE

Hello, I’m called Navy on the MT web page but I’m known as Bonnie here in my foster home in Cornwall as I’m adorable !
Jean and Dave who foster me say I’m a biggish Cav x at about 17 kg but I’m very loving , easy to look after, good with other dogs, big and small and I’m getting used to walking on a long line round the fields . In the house , I’ve got the hang of sleeping through the night with the resident dogs, ask to go out if needed, love my food and always come when called.
As you can see from the pic I’m good at hugs too!
If you can offer me a 5 * home with another happy friend for me and a garden and walks , that would be my lovely … but no cats .. sorry
Please apply on line on my page under Navy on the MTAR website . App form is at the bottom of my details

31-10-24 UPDATE

Hello …. I’m Navy but called Bonnie here in foster with Jean  and David .

I’m a big cuddle girl apparently, no trouble at all !
I’ve been here a while and not had one application or inquiry . … fortunately I don’t know that bit!  Foster Mum doesn’t know why no one is interested in me cause I’m lovely and the lady who writes the updates says she would take me home anytime apparently, if she didn’t have so many already!
I’m easy going, sleep on the bedroom floor at night and jump up on the bed in the morning for a hug !
Other dogs are fine, big and small, male and female,  but not sure about the cat . I’ve got the hang of the harness now, but working on the lead business . Clean in the house, excellent recall.
Foster Mum says I would need a kind friendly dog in my new home to keep me company, adopters who are there for me most of the time and a garden with grass. I like going for walks too and always come back when called.  I am a big girl at about 17 kg but that’s just more to hug !

15-11-24 UPDATE
MT Navy (Bonnie here) 4 year old cavalier cross has been in foster with us in Camborne, Cornwall for a few weeks now. We are very surprised she hasn't had any interest. She really is a near perfect dog. Very friendly and gets on well with all other dogs, people young and old. She is clean indoors and her recall good . She has now started lead work after getting over her fear of the harness and lead. She has not got a nasty bone in her body, such a typical spaniel! She will make a very loyal, loving and friendly dog and preferrably no cats in the home. She loves swimming in our small lake as well!

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
