07-08-24 Tolly has come to us from a breeder ready to find her forever home. She is a lovely girl who would love nothing more than to find her perfect retirement home. Tolly is quite timid at the moment and is a little worried to find herself with us, so she will be looking for a calm and quiet home, with adopters who were around most of the time and had plenty of time to help her settle in. She would need another kind and confident dog in her new home to be her friend and guide her through home life. She has never lived in a home before and so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles in and learns all about new skills like house training. She can already walk on a lead and we think she is going to really enjoy going on lovely walks with her new family. We would consider homing her with older, gentle teenagers. Tolly is a little overweight at the moment but with gentle exercise and a good diet, she should lose this in no time. She has a small lump which our vet will take a look at. She really is such a sweet girl who so deserves to find her happily ever after.

15-08-24 UPDATE

Tolly is such a sweetie! I met her for the first time today and fell in love! She was a little skittish when I first got her out of the kennel as she was a little overwhelmed, but as soon as we got out walking on the road she chilled out so much and just walked perfectly by my side for the entire walk! We passed cars with no issues and met some furry friends along the way and she behaved like an angel. Although this lady is from a breeder she is just so easy going and seems to be used to going for walks. We stopped for a little photoshoot on the grass in the sunshine and isn’t she just THE most photogenic lady?! She seemed to enjoy a fuss so is used to being touched and handled. This perfect older little lady deserves so much to be cuddled up on a sofa in her perfect home! Please don’t leave her waiting much longer.

21-08-24 UPDATE

Hi there. Well I had a long day on Sunday. When I arrived at my holiday home I was brave and walked out of the car on my own. My tail was however clamped between my legs, I was panting and very scared. When I saw the resident 4 legged family I perked up. Tail up and a trot round the garden. I love a stroke but otherwise pace up and down. Everything is new to me and rather over powering. I am very inquisitive and have explored all the garden. Don't be fooled by my age I have climbed on the garden furniture and fancy the sofa.
So I travel well. I love to be stroked by men as well as women. I am curious about the cat so will require slow introduction. I am scared so will be best suited to a calm quiet home where someone is home most of the time. I will need a companion to help me relax. I walk well on a lead. I am not suitable at the moment for young children. They will be too noisy. Plenty of time and patience to let me relax is what is required. I am on holiday with a young bouncy male so if you can offer me a peaceful haven please do apply for me. Looking forward to seeing you.

24-08-24 UPDATE

Hello. FM says I need to update you how I am doing. I enjoy going for short walks at a sedate pace. I push to get out of the gate. I have seen horses and other dogs and don't bat an eyelid. I am clean in the house and sleep most of the night. FM knows it is not all night because when she wakes up her slippers are in my bed with me! I can be left for a few hours but do counter surf. I like to take shoes, clothes and toys off the side and take them to my bed. I do not damage them. I just like them with me. I am desperate to be stroked and loved but do like to have another dog around for security. I prefer sitting with and on the male companion but live with female as well. I do chase the cat but know no. Sometimes I do growl when the others approach as I have decided I don't want to share a bed or toy. Apparently this is not unusual when coming from nowhere to a home, so FM says a firm no and I shut up. I am also attached to FM leg. I want to be with her all the time. So be prepared for this until I feel more secure. I am quite agile so don't be put off by my age. I am a beautiful mature girl finding my feet and learning the rules. A quiet calm loving home is what I require with firm instructions. I do like strokes and my tail does now wag. Hope to see you soon. Tx

27-08-24 UPDATE
Tolly saw our vets to be neutered and had a small mammary lump removed at the same time that was sent off for testing. Thankfully all that has been identified is benign lesions but the vets do advise monitoring going forward and  prompt surgical removal of any new masses as a precaution.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
