25-07-24 Kapo is a really stunning girl with an inquisitive nature who has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. Whilst she isn't confident enough yet to approach us or fully settle in our company she is quite curious of us and is a pleasure to be around. She is easy to handle once caught and settle in our arms. Kapo is most comfortable when in the company of other dogs and has never known life without their company. She will need a kind confident resident dog that she can copy around the house, play with and share a bed with the snuggle next to. Kapo has never lived in a home before so will need understanding adopters who can help her learn new skills such as housetraining and learning to walk on a lead/harness when she is ready. She will need an adult only home as she would find children too overwhelming at the moment and she will need a calm home that she can thrive in. Kapo will be looked at by our vets as she has a possible lump. Kapo is a really beautiful girl with a very sweet nature, despite her being worried and unused to our attentions she is hopeful that she will be loved and accepts a fuss. Kapo has a large mammary lump which will be removed when she is neutered.
08-08-24 UPDATE
Our beautiful girl Kapo has been with us for a couple of weeks now and has settled in beautifully. She’s getting more and more confident every day and is now almost brave enough to approach me. She’s definitely been watching her friends have cuddles from me and I think it’s making her quite inquisitive, so I’m hoping in a week or so she’ll get there. I won’t push her though, she’ll be ready when she’s ready! Kapo is kennelled with a mix of different dogs and she’s been brilliant with all of them. She shares her bed with them, and her food too. She will definitely still need a resident dog in her new home as she is quite reliant on her friends and as I mentioned earlier, is learning a lot from them. I do think she’ll be a little overwhelmed when she first gets home and may shut down a bit, but as long as her adopters are very understanding and patient with her, I think she’ll be okay. Everything will just need to be done at her pace not to push her. She is an absolute sweetheart and I can tell she is trying, she just needs some very kind people to come and give her a chance!
30-08-24 UPDATE
Kapo has been to our vets to be neutered and had a partial right sided mammary strip at the same time to remove the lumps. She is recovering well.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
ADOPTION DETAILS
If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.
