If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

07-07-24 Meg has come to us from a breeder ready to find her forever home. She is quite nervous at the moment but is also quite curious and does let curiousity get the better of her and will venture over to us to investigate us before running away again. Meg will run away when you approach her, but once in your arms she is easy to handle, but does tremble through fear bless her. Meg seeks comfort from her kennel friends and so will be looking for a home where there is at least one other kind and confident dog who will take her under their wing. She would benefit from a calm and quiet home with adopters who have experience with ex-breeding dogs and who will let her settle in at her own place and offer her lots of love and kindness as she starts to come out of her shell. She has never lived in a home before so her adopters will need to be kind and patient as she learns all about home life and new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead. She is a sweet girl and once she comes out of her shell we think she is going to blossom into a wonderful friend, so please don't leave her waiting too long.

15-07-24 UPDATE
Meg has seen our vets to be neutered and had a dental at the same time with multiple teeth removed. She is eating soft food which will need to continue in her new home to accomodate for this. She is recovering well.

10-08-24 UPDATE
Meg has now been with me for 3 weeks, and has settled into the routine here very well. She now knows that food comes from the kitchen and so do treats, so every time I go to the kitchen I have a little companion follow me in. Although she loves her food she is not brave enough to take a treat from my hand but if I put it on the floor she will take it and enjoy it. Meg does not walk on a harness and lead yet and when I go for a walk with my own dogs I have a friend come to sit with her as she has separation anxiety at the moment if left on her own, or with just one of my own dogs.

14-09-24 UPDATE
Meg remains quite nervous when meeting new people, and will definitely need a home with older adults as she is quite scared of children, loud noises, and sudden movement. I can now put a harness on her but attaching a lead to it is a step too much. But this will come in time and eventually she will enjoy going for a walk but that is in the future. She will not take food from my hand but if I put the treat on the floor she will eat it and enjoy it. I still have to have my friend come to sit with her as she does not like to be left with 1 of my dogs while I walk the other. She does however not bark if my friend stays with her.

01-10-24 UPDATE

Meg is now going for short walks with my own two dogs, she is very hesitant on her leads. I have her double leaded for safety as she would be easily startled.
Meg likes a good sniff and I walk her in a really guiet area, as she would be frightened by loud noises or children playing noisy games or any sudden movement, so she really needs an adult only home.
Meg had a groom this afternoon and was really good while she was bathed and had her hair cut.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
