04-07-24 Spot is a lovely girl who has come from her breeder to find a loving home. Her eye is a little dry and her ears are tender so she will see our vet to make sure she gets any treatment that she needs. She is a friendly girl who can already walk on a lead but she can be quite strong so will need an adopter who can handle her and is able to work with her to help her walk nicely. She could potentially live as an only dog if you are around for her and able to give her all the support she needs to settle into home life. She can get on well with other dogs but prefers to be around dogs that are large and male. She is a sweet girl who could be rehomed with children who are teenagers upwards. She will need regular trips to the groomer and brushing often to stop her coat from becoming matted. She is a sweet girl who hasnt lived indoors before and so will need a supportive home where she can learn all about house training and other such home skills. In time, with lots of TLC she will settle and begin to love her new life. She has a PETS passport travel doc

23-07-24 UPDATE

It's the first time I've met Spot today and she is so friendly. She came right up to me to say hello and have a little fuss and then followed me around the yard. She seems quite easy to handle too. Spot is a fantastic girl who loves being out of her kennel and spending time outside by going on walks. She is very strong, but she has been having halti training and is coming along brilliantly with this and will walk nicely with it on. Spot can be rehomed with other dogs but only her size or larger and male dogs only, she can not be rehomed with cats. As stated in her previous update, she hasn't lived in a home before so she will need you to be patient with her while she learns the ropes and grasps basic house training skills, like where to go to toilet. Spot is such a beautiful girl, she's a gentle soul and could become your best friend in no time. Come and say hello to her, she'll definitely put a smile your face, and who knows, you could be leaving with a new member of the family.

31-07-24 UPDATE
Spot has had a small lump removed from her lower back near her tail at the time of her spay. Our vets think this is a lipoma (fatty lump) but have kept this should her adopters choose to send it off to be tested.

02-09-24 UPDATE

I took Spot for a walk about today, it was busy here and I wanted to know how she'd cope. Spot went straight up to strangers and said hello, she loves people and enjoyed having attention. We walked down to meet the horses, she wasn't too impressed with these and just backed away. Back up by reception, Spot was really well behaved, there were a lot of people and dogs around and she met strange dogs politely.
We then chilled out and went for a walk, as you can see from the video, Spot now walks really well with her halti, initially she will pull, but soon settles to walk by your side. Spot is kennelled with a male shar pei who jumps on her, and gets to the ball and grabs it and she's so polite and laid back with him. A lovely girl, who is full of confidence, who takes to training really well, just needs a few tweaks and is always happy, what are you waiting for

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
