30-06-24 Lady Grace has come to us from a breeder, ready to find her forever home. She is a lovely girl who is gentle and affectionate and seems to enjoy having fuss and attention. She would like to live with kind resident dogs as she depends on their company for that extra bit of confidence and will need that as she settles into a new home. We would consider homing her with older dog savvy children. She is a begginer to walking on a lead and is especially worried if there are lots of people around, so she will need to build up her confidence with this. She has never lived in a home before so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles in and learns all about home life and new skills like house training. She is a wonderful girl and will be any greyhound lovers dream, so please don't leave her waiting too long. She has a PETS travel document.

21-07-24 UPDATE

Lady Grace is a delightful foster and very aptly named with her long legs, good looks and ever so graceful! She is very chilled and loves lounging around. She is still quite young so likes toys and is quite the thief of socks and shoes etc but she hasn’t destroyed a single thing in the week she has been here, she just loves collecting stuff and goofily collating it all in her bed! She did fab in the secure field, loves meeting dogs in the park and her only issue right now is she is scared of children’s voices which hopefully I will be able to desensitise her to very slowly, so we can start to enjoy being out and about for walks without the fear of children approaching! She is otherwise perfect and an absolute dream to foster, I’m in no hurry to see this Lady G go!

10-08-24 UPDATE

Lady Grace (aka Lady G) is still a bit unsure when she sees people approaching on our walks, so much prefers the safety of the house after something spooked her on a walk, so we are taking it very slowly re-introducing her to walks and setting her up for positive experiences, but other than that, she’s an absolute delight to look after.
She is very chilled, should be called Lazy Grace! She sleeps through the night downstairs as long as she has dog company. She has her playful 5 mins every day, and does need a decent sized garden to do her super fast zoomies in. She is truly a special one, gorgeous girl and very easy to love, just needs a special adopter who will continue working with her slowly to help build up her confidence to go for walks!

16-09-24 UPDATE

I’m so proud of Lady Grace this week as she is really starting to come out of her shell. Everyone who meets her says how beautiful and graceful she is and she is getting much braver on her walks. After mastering the farmers fields beside Trent Park, where I was confident only dog walkers and the odd jogger would be around, she has now managed the actual park a few mornings this week. I’m making sure we go at quiet times so as not to overwhelm her! And a quiet pub lunch where the chef gave her some ham which she loved!
She is still looking for her forever home. Could it be with you? She’s a very special lady who deserves only the best life can offer her now!

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
