26-06-24 Hugo is a charming boy who has come from his breeder to find a loving home. He has hterochromia so his eyes are different colours. He has had a nasal wedge surgery with our vet to open his airways as he is a Frenchie with such tiny nostrils which makes breathing so hard for them. He has a rather dry nose and our vet will give him a thorough examination asap. Hugo is a darling boy who is a bundle of energy and great fun to be around. He doesnt know how to walk on a lead yet but it wont take him long to learn. He can be a little skittish if you move too quickly around him but he is learning all the time and gaining in confidence. We feel he could be an only dog in the right home if you have plenty of time to devote to him settling into his new way of life and being patient and supportive as he learns home skills such as house training. He is such a character, we love him!

29-06-24 UPDATE
Hugo has been castrated and at the same time has nasal wedge surgery to widen his nostrils and help him breathe more easily. He is also currently being treated for swollen ear canals.

08-07-24 UPDATE
Hugo saw the vets for BOAS surgery which was successful and Hugo is now in recovering well.

23-07-24 UPDATE

Hugo came to the rescue nearly a month ago! It’s crazy that such an incredible boy can go so unnoticed! He is still searching for that special someone to find him and give him all the love he deserves, and although so many people have passed his kennel and fallen totally in love with him, he’s still yet to find his family. Hugo is such a wonderful boy who has come a long way in the past few weeks, especially with the help of his friend Rosie, and has now learned to walk with a harness and now absolutely loves going out to explore his surroundings. He doesn't need a very active home as he loves to just go for chilled walks. He could live in a home with older children or younger if they are dog savvy and know to give him space.

Hugo is one of my most favourite fosters EVER! He is such a snuggle bug and loves people.
He gets on really well with all our foster dogs and enjoys playing with the ones that like to play.
As you can see from his video, he has developed a particular passion for football which is very funny. He is really friendly with everyone that comes to the house and is really happy and confident around children of all ages.
He arrived at Many Tears incredibly underweight with a really dry and brittle coat so he's been on increased food and salmon oil to help this.
Hugo is really good off the lead and comes back when called in a secure field.
Hugo is practically perfect in every way, we love him so much and he will make a great addition to a family or anyone that has lots of time to spend with him.  Hugo would need to live with another dog in the home

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
