If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

27-05-24 Welly has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She has needed to have 9 teeth removed by our vet. She is overweight and will need to lose some weight to feel more healthy. She has a grade 2-3 heart murmur that will need to be monitored by her new vet. She has some white lipid spots in her eyes due to her weight but no treatment is required for these. She is a very nervous girl who is quite overwhelmed to find herself here at the moment and will run away and hide when you approach her. However once she is in your arms she does relax and settle down and seems to enjoy a gentle ear rub. With lots of live and kindness she will soon start to realise that human hands can be kind and will start to come out of her shell. Welly will be looking for a calm and quiet home with adopters who have experience of ex-breeding dogs and where there is another kind and confident resident dog to be her friend. She has never lived in a home before so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles in and learns all about home life as well as new skills like house training and how to walk on a lead. With plenty of TLC she will soon blossom into the most wonderful friend, so please don't leave her waiting too long.  She has a PETS travel doucment.

14-06-24 UPDATE
Welly is being monitored by our vets as she is lame with some tenderness on her hip and left stifle, she has been booked into have x-rays soon and we will update when we know more.

21-06-24 UPDATE
Darling Welly has had the results of her x-rays come back and she has severe hip dysplasia. Welly will be having an operation that our rehoming team can discuss in further detail on both hips. She is due to have the first operation on one hip next month then once she has recovered she will have the operation on her second hip. She will still be available to adopt prior to surgery if adopters are willing to take on the medical care. We are hoping to get Welly into a foster home in the meantime so she can be as comfortable as possible.

26-06-24 UPDATE

Since Welly’s arrived, all her kennel friends kept getting adopted, which is awesome for them but little Welly is still waiting and we just really felt her for and wanted to see how she’d cope in a home, so shes currently on foster with us in our mad house!
Welly is a stunning girly, she is quite unsure of humans at times and will look away and avoid eye contact, but the more she gets familiar with you the better she becomes! She hasn’t known me long and gives me kisses and waggy tails! she loves other dogs (no matter what size/ age/ breed) and needs to be homed with another resident dog to help her settle. She cannot go with young children, or active dogs, or an overly active family as she cannot do much exercise and the recovery period will be long. Please don’t let this gorgeous girl wait long, can you open your heart to her?

08-07-24 UPDATE
Welly has seen the vets and had a left hip femeral head and neck arthoplasty surgery performed. She is currently in a long recovery phase and is doing well. Welly will be having a second operation on her second hip once she has recovered so is currently not ready to adopt.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
