If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

30-07-24 Ollie is every beagle lovers dream! He is super, super special, super smart, super sized beagle and will be an awesome companion to the right person. Ollie has been returned to us as he doesnt get on well with male dogs. He does walk past other dogs fine when he is on a lead, he just doesn't want to share his home space with one. We are now looking to home Ollie as an only dog, for his best chance of success! He is a confident boy who just needs to have his beagle needs met. He'd love agility, scentwork, or canicross type of activity. Ollie is extremely responsive to his name, he is extremely switched on, and will do anything you ask for a nice tasty treat! We are told Ollie didn't like to be left alone in the home- so this is something that will need to be worked on gradually- however, I recommend that in his right home that is active and that you are  willing to keep his determined and eager mind busy, then he should settle more easily. Ollie is fabulous at jumping and can easily clear 5ft 6. He will need a very secure garden and would love to do some sports if given the chance. When I say Ollie is a "super special" boy, I really mean it, and whoever adopts him will be extremely lucky. Ollie wants to go home as an only dog, with an experienced adopter, to an active lifestyle, with no cats. He's just such a gem.

14-08-24 UPDATE

Ollie has settled back into kennels the best a lively beagle can. We have done some agility and he picked this up so quickly and loved it! We have been socialising him with other dogs, and have seen that he is much more relaxed when left alone, if he has a larger female friend to snuggle with, in comparison to when he is without another dog. I think we can comfortably say that Ollie can either be an only dog to people who are willing to work through his upset of being left alone, or can go home with a larger female as long as you are experienced in managing a multi dog household, with things like individual training time, feeding seperate, and having realistic expectations for a settling period. Ollie is a super super beautiful boy who just needs to find his final home now! He has so much potential, he just needs the right people to see it!

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
