If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

26-12-2024 This little lad is Parker, he originally came to us a few years ago and sadly he has found himself back with us as after 2 years in the home he did snap at the older child. Parkers adopters stressed that this was very unlike him and perhaps related to welcmoming a new baby recently. Parker has been so loved and in the right home he is going to make the most wonderful friend. He will be looking for an adult only home and wouldn't be suitable for first time dog owners. He gets on well with other dogs out and about and loves to say hi to them (and everyone he meets!) but would need to be homed as an only dog as he isn't keen on sharing his home or food with other dogs.
Parker is a very happy man here with lots of love to give everyone, he loves a fuss but is then happy enough to go and do his own thing, he enjoys his own company! He is very well behaved in kennels and loves to go walking with volunteers. We are told that Parker does have his little quirks, but in the right home and given time to settle these can be well managed. Parker can be reactive to noises, especially in the garden and will bark loudly to let you know something is happening. He can get wound up quite easily and so for this reason he would be best suited to a rural home without lots of coming and goings.
Parker will need someone with time, patience and someone experienced to be able to help him break his old habits and become the little angel he was always meant to be!
Parker has severe Queen Anne on his front legs (his legs twist outwards as seen in photos) but this doesn't seem to stop him. Parker was given medication from the vet in his previous home, to help him in stressful situations and this is something his new adopters could consider in the future if his new vet felt he could benefit from it. Parker is an affectionate boy with his own personality, living in his own world, he deserves someone to give him all the time in the world.
Parker will be looking for an adult only home with no visiting children, no cats, and he would like to be the only dog. He does like to have two good walks a day (or lots of little ones) to keep him happy and stimulated so would need an adopter who could offer this to him.
Parker is a wonderful little soul and in the right home, he truly will thrive and become the most wonderful companion you could wish for!
