We rescued Truffle's mum Aubrey with a few other pregnant donkeys.

Truffle was born at the Rescue and has recently turned 1 years old!

Truffle is a sweet donkey who absolutely loves attention and scratches on the chest! He's very good to handle on the yard, he adores cuddles and will stand quietly for anyone who wants a cwtch!

Like many young donkeys he's a little cheeky and can be super excited on walks, meaning he needs a calm handler who can hold on tight! Even though he can be excited, he's learned to walk in hand, and is very clever when it comes to his clicker training!

He can be opinionated when the farrier comes to trim his back hooves, and tends to kick his back legs out, we're currently working on this with him with our patient farrier.

We've taught him lots of tricks, he will walk over the bridge in Rainbows End and we've taught him to jump over the crocodile!

Truffle is hoping that you can sponsor him! He needs lots of care attention from our staff team and volunteers every day. He is learning how to become a well rounded adult donkey and just loves a cuddle. He needs his feet to be seen by the farrier regularly for trimming and enjoys his food and treats.
