Stable Chatter 25-03-25

The sun was shining, the fields were calling - and our equines had zero interest in sticking to the schedule!

We turned everyone out to enjoy the fresh air while we got on with a bit of yard tidying. All was calm... until it was time to bring them in for tea.

Sage had other ideas - he decided he was not ready to come in and made his feelings known by doing several speedy laps around the field every time we got close with the headcollar.

Down the hill we went to the next field, only to find Tucson playing the same game. So we tried our luck with Quarrel... but he was in full solidarity mode and wasn’t having it either.

We gave them a minute and switched to gathering ponies instead. That mostly went smoothly - unless you count Edith, who was more interested in causing chaos by nipping and kicking at her pony pals. Classic Edith!

Eventually, with a bit of patience (and a lot of walking), everyone - Tucson and Quarrel included was haltered up and headed back to the rescue for a well-earned tea.

Some days, the simplest tasks turn into full-blown adventures - but with perseverance (and a sense of humour), we always get there in the end!
