If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

30-03-2021 Gil has been in a rescue in Romania since 2017.  No one has wanted to adopted him as he has an old spinal injury which has left him partially paralysed on his back legs.  This does not mean he cannot walk - he can but just at a slower pace and is better on soft suraces rather than hard concrete.  If he goes too fast he drags his back legs and leans on one side which has caused some damaged to one of his toes BUT Gil can walk.  Ideally he would love a home where he could have some wheels to enable him to get around more easily when out.    He really needs a VERY special home and we are hoping someone out there will be able to offer Gil everything he needs.  Gil has a passport.

Wow what a super friendly determined boy Gill is ! First he survived a horrible accident in Romania that left him partially paralysed, luckily he was saved and taken to a rescue in Romania where as a disabled dog he had virtually no chance of ever getting himself a lovely home, but Gill being the waggily, adorable, affectionate boy he is he managed to secure his place in the transport to come to the UK and show us all here that his disability is not going to stop him enjoying every day he wakes up!
He’s in foster with us and is a truly funny, completely amazing boy who loves life, he plays constantly with other dogs, loves sitting in the sunshine and chasing squirrels, in his mind he can do everything that the other dogs do and completely forgets he has a bad leg.
Tomorrow he has a big surprise coming!!!! Some wheels !!! We’re really hoping this will make a huge difference to him and he will hopefully join us on some of our walks. He’s an easy boy to have here, very content and seems grateful for everything we do for him, he’s sleeps in our kitchen at night soundly and adores sharing his bed with his friends. He’s a super dog that now needs his very first forever home with someone who loves him as much as I know he will love them !

WARNING. ... Very Adorable Dog!
Well what can we say about Gil (nicknamed Bill here) He’s a very happy, waggy, easy going boy who’s extremely pleased with the wheels that Many Tears bought him! He loves going for short walks in them. He keeps up with the other dogs and adores sniffing and meandering over the fields. The wheels are really easy to put on, it takes two minutes and he’s very excited when you get them out and let’s you put them on no problem (see video)
He loves other dogs but is equally happy with human company as he really likes a brush and a fuss and sitting with you. He’s virtually clean in the house, definitely NOT incontinent and will always go outside if he can.
He sleeps in our kitchen soundly at night and is nearly always clean. He needs a home with someone who will completely love him , a small grassy garden where he can chill in the sunshine and have a little walk in his wheels most days.
He’s traveled so far to find his happy ever after, please can some give this lovely cuddly, chilled out boy a home?

08-05-21 UPDATE

Well I’ve been here a month in my foster home  and although I like it here it’s not the same as having your own special forever home. Before I came here I was at the Many Tears kennels and before that I spent 4 years patiently waiting for someone to choose me from the rescue in Romania but that just didn’t happen!
Despite me being a lovely, cuddly, friendly boy it seems I’m struggling to find anyone who wants to adopt and love me! I’m worried this is because my legs don’t work properly, but this disability doesn’t bother me at all and now I have my wheels I’m out on walks with the other dogs and I’m the only foster allowed off the lead!
Foster mum says I’m no trouble and a lovely kind home will come along really soon but lately my friends here have all been adopted and I’m left waiting in the wings for my own special person who’ll love me . Foster mum has made loads of new friends on walks as everyone wants to stop and see me and see how great I am on the wheels, so if your lonely apart from having me to love you you’ll chat to everyone on a walk ( I’m kind of a star locally ) and I’m definitely no trouble to anyone and I get about fine without the wheels indoors and you should see me chase a squirrel!!
I like to snooze a lot, I like sitting in the sunshine, I like being cuddled and brushed and oh nearly forgot I love FOOD AND TREATS!
So if anyone can give me these thing I’m your Boy !!!!

04-06-21 UPDATE

Well what more can we say about the sweet, adorable Gil! He is probably the easiest, happiest, content foster dog we've ever had here. His bad back legs are just a small blip to him and the fun he has every day playing with his friends is fabulous to watch (please take a look at the videos)
He is such a content boy who knows no different with his legs, they dont cause him any pain or problem at all so hes on no medication and he just gets on with it and enjoys all the fun and games with the other dogs, in the heat he finds little camps in the garden to hide in, his favourite being an old empty composter obviously little memories of finding shelter in Romania!
He is so used to wearing his wheels out on walks and gets really excited when we get them out as he knows he is going on a walk! Indoors and in the garden hes fine wobbling along on his legs or faster for him is scooting on his bum!
I dont think theres anything more I can say than please can someone give this super, cheeky, cuddly boy a forever home, hes absolutely lovely!

13-06-21 UPDATE

Some days are just the best ever!!!! The other day foster mum and dad took me to the beach! Not exactly a beach as we're not near the sea but a beachy bit of the Thames! It was fabulous, it was a long walk up a tow path and loads of new dogs to meet, foster Dads favourite pub was conveniently on route and guess what ?? They serve pub meals for dogs!!  I had trouble choosing, sausages or burgers or the mix! I chose the mix because I thought it might be bigger and it didn't disappoint!
After lunch was washed down with a drink from the pubs giant water bowl, I went swimming! At first I waded in with my wheels on then Foster mum took them off and I loved it , got on great with out the wheels was running in and out of the water was so excited, after I'd completely cooled off we sat on the bank for a bit then headed off to the car.
It was my longest walk in the wheels but everyone was amazed how easily I did it and was even running on the way back! So you see I'm no different from all the other dogs, love walks, love the water, love fuss and cuddles just a normal boy with wheels looking for his forever home!

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation* and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.
* Many Tears uses Vanguard to vaccinate their dogs.  However, this can sometimes be difficult to source at local vets so if you are adopting a dog or puppy that has only had one vaccination please be aware your vets may require you to start the course from the beginning.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
