18-03-2021 Meet Dickens! Isn't he the most handsome little scruffy fellow you could wish to meet? Dickens is as cool as a cucumber and boy does he know it. He wants to be everyone's friend and thinks that he should be the life and soul at every party. Dickens walks well on a lead but does react at other dogs when out on a lead.  We will start showing him that he needs to work on some social manners here but he will need an owner who will continue to work on this.
Dickens will need to be an only dog in an experienced home.  We will only consider applications where there are no other resident dogs and where any kids are at least teenage and extremely dog savvy.   Dickens needs a secure garden with at least 6ft fencing.  This boy loves to be fussed and cannot wait to start his new adventures with you.

03-04-2021 UPDATE

Dickens had a very short adoption and is now back with us.  It's imperitive that any prospective adopter for Dickens understands that whilst he loves people, he's very reactive towards other dogs and animals and will need to go to a home without other dogs.
Despite his reactive nature he is very affectionate and absolutely adores human attention. He is without doubt a beautiful boy, booming with boundless energy. This boy can jump higher than you think!
Dickens is a charming character that should fit in nicely with an active owner that can satisfy his need to explore and play. He's absolutely ball-mad and can usually be seen running circles around his play-yard with something in his mouth. He's always keen to get out of his kennel and go for a walk, I only hope that he gets the opportunity he deserves to see more of the great outdoors as we can only do so much for him here at the rescue.
He needs a secure garden but has so many positive traits. He knows how to sit, was mainly clean in his previous home and takes treats and food very gently. He an be excitable when meeting strangers, is quiick to learn but quite vocal when meeting other dogs so he needs someone with experience to support him and help him move forwards.

11-04-21 UPDATE

Dickens is a happy guy who loves to be busy and playing with his toys most of the time. He will certainly need an active home. He doesn't like other dogs or cats, so will need to be the only animal in his home. If you love walking and would love a new companion then Dickens could be for you.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation* and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

* Many Tears uses Vanguard to vaccinate their dogs.  However, this can sometimes be difficult to source at local vets so if you are adopting a dog or puppy that has only had one vaccination please be aware your vets may require you to start the course from the beginning.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
