18-02-2020 Kenny is a very handsome Hound who has been a breeding boy in the past but is looking for a new home. Kenny is a very shy boy who does try to hide away and is very unsure of new situations. Kenny does know how to walk on a lead but his confidence is not there yet and he is worried about the world. This boy needs a ton of TLC and a kind resident dog, preferably a female to help him adjust to homelife and learn about housetraining and home skills. He needs reassurance and in time he will relax and show us his sunny personality, He will be too frightened to live with children at the moment and would not suit bein gleft for long periods as he has so much to learn about. If you have the compassion Kenny needs to help turn his little frown upside down please complete his adoption form.

16-03-21 UPDATE

Kenny is a joy to spend time with, such a gentle innocent soul who has had restricted exposure to the outside world. He has made amazing progress since being with us but remains shy with unfamiliar people. At this time he requires another dog in a prospective home, any dog would need to be friendly and playful, our boy just loves to play. Kenny walks on a lead, but does like to have his nose to the ground when he is walked on his own. When Kenny trusts you he will take treats from one's hand, is very easy to handle and seems to enjoy being picked up and having a cuddle.

26-03-21 UPDATE

Our lovely Kenny! He really is a sweet boy who always makes us laugh! He’s a comical boy who just loves to play! He still needs another resident dog as will still need time and help adjusting to his new life in a home, and he loves his current kennel friend and play mate! Kenny is getting better at trusting people, it’s doesn’t take as long for him to let his guard down and start running and playing with you. Whoever gets to share their home and life with him is extremely lucky!

05-05-21 UPDATE
Our handsome boy Kenny can be a little shy when you first meet him but his true colours will shine as soon as you take him for a walk. He loves to explore the world through his nose and is an incredibly warm hearted companion with a gentle temperament. Kenny needs to have an owner that loves to get outside as much as does, ideally in areas that are full of interesting scents like woodlands or country trails. His gentle nature would not suit a loud household and Kenny makes for the perfect companion of somebody who enjoys the slower things in life and the outdoors.

18-05-21 UPDATE

Gorgeous Kenny has only been here in his foster home for a few days but, my goodness, what a lovely boy he is. He is pretty much house clean, travels perfectly in the car, and sleeps quietly all night through in his own bed in the bedroom.
Kenny is kind, gentle and very good natured. He is not a large dog weighing only about 17k.  He is polite and submissive to the other dogs here (all smaller than him as it happens !)
Kenny is a bright boy and has readily acclimatised to home life, even managing to come in and out of the dog flap (see pic).
Kenny LOVES his outings to my secure field, really enjoying the chance to sniff every smell available using his pretty pink nose- just heaven for him. At home he is very happy to totally relax, have a lovely doze, but also lie in his day bed playing with a toy. He is very entertaining to watch. (see video)
Kenny is still a shy boy and will take time to feel confident with people he doesn't know. He will need a kind canine friend /s in his new home to help him build his confidence. Kenny is a real gem and immensely lovable.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation* and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.
* Many Tears uses Vanguard to vaccinate their dogs.  However, this can sometimes be difficult to source at local vets so if you are adopting a dog or puppy that has only had one vaccination please be aware your vets may require you to start the course from the beginning.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
