If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

26-08-20 Sasha is a large Cross Breed girl who has come to us from a home as her previous owner could no longer cope with how strong she is. Sasha is an older girl who is very sweet and waggy! She is a very clever girl who can give paw for treats. She walks well on a lead but will need owners who are strong enough to handle her. Sasha meets other dogs well and could be homed with other dogs, but she does show some jealously when sharing fuss with people so she might prefer to be an only dog with someone who was around a lot and could offer her lots of attention. Sasha travelled well to the rescue centre once in the car, but didn't like going into the small space initially. She sometimes cries at quick, sudden movements and is a little touchy with her left shoulder, so our vet will be checking this out. Sasha would be best suited to a home without small children due to her size.

09-09-20 UPDATE

Sasha is an 8 year old cross breed who has come to us from a home. Unfortunately her owner was no longer able to manage with Sasha’s size and strength, so she’s now in our care. She’s extremely upset to find herself in a kennel and cries quite a lot. I try my best to take her out as often as I can, but I can’t spend all day every day with her (even though I would love to). Sasha adores the company of humans and would love to find a family who would let her snuggle on the sofa with them.
She’s a very clever girl who already knows the basic commands such as “sit” and “paw”. She walks well on a lead and although she is very strong, she does respond to correction. She’s almost kennel clean too!
Sasha meets other dogs absolutely fine, but we do think it would be best to home her as an only dog just because she can get jealous over her human. As I mentioned before, she loves us sooooo much she just doesn’t want to share us. Also because of Sasha’s size, we wouldn’t want to home her with young children.
She’s an extremely affectionate, beautiful and heart breaking girl, and I really want to find a forever home for her. She has a lot of love to give, and she needs someone who will give the same (and more) back to her. She really does deserve the world. So please consider this precious girl, she’s upset and confused and needs saving.

11-09-2020 UPDATE

I met Sasha for the first time yesterday.  She didn't trust me straight away so I spent lots of time taking her for lots of little walks, giving her treats and giving her the space to decide when she wanted fuss. By the end of the day she was far happier for me to be around and she was sitting for treats and giving me paw. The people that she knows, she loves and she lets them know that she's happy to see them. So, her new home will need to understand that they will have to prove to her that they are worthy of her trust and love, but once they do, she'll love them forever. Sasha deserves to live her best life with her forever people by her side. If that's you then please fill out an application form.

All dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation* and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

* Many Tears uses Vanguard to vaccinate their dogs.  However, this can sometimes be difficult to source at local vets so if you are adopting a dog or puppy that has only had one vaccination please be aware your vets may require you to start the course from the beginning.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
