If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

20-02-2020 Ham is a 3 year old Beagle who has come to us to find her forever home. She is a scared girl, however she is happy for us to handle her at the moment. Ham will need another confident dog in her new home to help her adjust to home life, as she has never lived in a home before. Ham will need to learn all about house training and how to walk on a lead. We don't think it will take her long to come out of her shell.

26-02-20 UPDATE

It was actually a little sunny today at Many Tears, I was quite happy to spend some time with Ham in the outside where she feels the happiest. She isn’t enjoying kennel life as most dogs don’t so she really needs a home soon! She is a typical vocal beagle but she is friendly once she gets to know you. I think she just like to hear her own voice! She’s such a teeny little girl that’s easily picked up, she doesn’t mind it too much either. She also walks on a lead all by herself like a brave girl but does get shy walking past people. She is such a pretty little girl I hope we can help her by getting her into a home. She deserves to be happy and to feel more secure, please apply if you think this is the girl for you.

04-03-20 UPDATE

So my lovely little Hammy... Is a very special girl indeed! I'm not quite sure where to start... She is generally all round, a very easy girl to have on my section... And to me, she is my steady, supportive, happy, best friend! Haha!
First of all - She is amazingly beautiful! Just look at her! Just look at her pretty little face! Her pictures don't do justice to just how pretty she is. She is in good condition too - and a lovely weight. One thing I think is very unique to her - a beagle - is that she doesn't try and steal her friends food! Which I think is amazing for a beagle! She's really respectful towards her kennel friends bless her.
Ham is generally easy going and calm - spending her time at the front of her kennel having a nose at what's going on... waiting patiently for her kennels turn to go outside etc... She'll also take herself off to bed, and allow her friends to cuddle up to her, which is heartwarming. She also knows when it's bedtime! ... But Ham also has a playful side to her!... She likes to play with toys and shares them wonderfully, but she also likes to have a play about with her fellow furry friends! She currently resides with a smaller male shih tzu and a smaller female schnauzer... She plays rough and wrestles with the male shih tzu - who initiates the rough wrestling btw!, But she plays much gentler with the more timid, wary, highly strung, barky female schnauzer - who idolises our Ham. The three of them are very good friends, who also socialise very well with other dogs in other kennels.
Ham loves to go outside to play and will run straight out her kennel, down the corridor, and into her play yard. She'll have fun playing, sniffing, exploring, nosing. When it's time to come in, she'll run back in, but will stop just outside her kennel block, look at me and lie on the floor ... She never ever wants to go back into her kennel... She seems to know there's so much more to life. We're hoping she'll find her forever family soon, but if not, I can't recommend this girl enough for all you fosterers...
Ham walks beautifully on the lead. I often take her out with my own dog when he comes to work with me. Like all dogs, she loves to have a sniff, but she also loves to interact - for example she will look up to me every now and again with those happy, sparkly, beautiful eyes of hers, and she will also skip along happily, and every now and again looks over to my dog, seemingly smiling, and will give him a gentle kiss.... She is very sweet. She does become worried if a human she doesn't know passes her though...
Ham can be a little talkative/cry a little... But she talks/cries very quietly, and usually only when she is excited or wants to go out! It is not an issue at all... Ham is not noisy at all. Ham is... A very good girl!

Although HAM ^ is by donation rather than the full adoption fee, we ask for a minimum donation of £100 to help cover our costs. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation* and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.
* Many Tears uses Vanguard to vaccinate their dogs.  However, this can sometimes be difficult to source at local vets so if you are adopting a dog or puppy that has only had one vaccination please be aware your vets may require you to start the course from the beginning.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
