If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

05-01-20 Trio is a very pretty Pomeranian who has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. She is very nervous and will panic when approached so for this reason we are looking for a quiet, adult only home for her. She has never lived in a home before and at first didn't know that a duvet was to snuggle in to. She will need a kind resident dog or dogs in her new home to gain confidence from and to help her learn skills like house training and lead walking. With time and love, she will realise that humans are not to be feared and she can leave her past life behind her and become the lovely little girl we can see hiding inside her.

04-02-20 UPDATE
Trio's confidence has improved so much since coming into the rescue. When she first came in we could hardly get anywhere near and struggled quite a bit when we tried to pick her. She still runs away but as soon as she's in our arms now she calms down significantly and we're able to do full health checks on her without her batting an eyelid.
Trio spends more time wagging her tail and dancing around rather than hiding away in the back of her kennel like she used to. She doesn't yet walk very well on the lead but she is starting to show willingness so it shouldn't take us too long to get her to a comfortable level of confidence on the lead.
Although her confidence has improved greatly she can still be slightly reactive if you approach her too quickly so you need to be slow and steady when approaching her as to avoid spooking her.
Trio's growth in confidence has been absolutely amazing to watch and in the right home she will improve so much more. Could you be the lucky person to give this lovely little girl a second chance in life??

11-02-20 UPDATE

Trio is coming out of her shell more as the weeks pass, the first time I met her she was scared and didn't like me going near her but today she actually came close to my hand to see what treats I had! She won't take it off me just yet but I'm sure it won't be long untill she does. Trio is at her happiest when she is going out to play.. she runs out with her friend as fast as she can jumping around. She is actually a very playful girl and loves her toys.

22-02-20 UPDATE

Trio is improving all the time now. When Trio first came to my section she was so terrified that when cornered she would panic and try to nip or run away as fast as possible! Well, not now!
Trio now runs straight up to me with her tail wagging and a big smile on her face. She is also always at the front of the kennel when people walk past in the show rounds, whereas before she would always hide away in the back of her kennel.
Trio is really playful now and loves to play with toys alongside her kennel mates. Trio is also good on her harness now. She walks better alongside a more confident dog, but even on her own she is doing well. She can still be a bit hesitant when people walk by when she’s out and about on walks, and can still jump if loud noises occur, but as she’s only been out a few times (due to the weather), this is amazing for her! .....Trio also loves to be brushed and is more than happy to sit in the warmth of our grooming room with me for hours. She is a little more scared of the hair dryer, but her confidence will build in time. As for being brushed, she seems to find it quite relaxing and I caught her trying to keep her eyes open a few times the other day! Bless her.
My face always lights up when I see Trios whole body wagging at me when I arrive in the mornings.
It’s the best welcome ever! Imagine having that every morning or every time you get home? Well you could do if you just gave her a chance to get out of kennels and discover the joys of home life!
In a home environment she would come on leaps and bounds.
All Trio needs is a cosy bed, lots of toys, nice food and a loving family.
Please apply is you think she’s the missing part of your family.

14-03-20 UPDATE

I absolutely loved this girl.  She is a changed dog from the one who arrived here. and is very sweet and pretty with a beautiful orange sable coat. She allowed us to fully groom her with no issues at all. Her pictures don’t do her Justice

27-03-20 UPDATE
Trio is doing very well in foster. She gains more confidence every day and is turning into a happy little girl. Once she gets to know you she is very affectionate and will follow you everywhere. She is a typical young dog and loves making mischief. Everything is new to her so she likes to lick, chew and take all items from the house she can into her bed for inspection.
Trio loves her walks and is walking really well on the lead. She is also enjoying spending lots of time running around in the garden with our two resident dogs. She is mainly housetrained with just the odd accident overnight or when left alone for a while.
Trio will make a lovely pet, she just needs someone to give her a chance.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog.
Large breed dogs over 25kg cost us considerably more  to spay and neuter so if you are adopting a large breed dog we would be very grateful of an extra suggested donation of £10 towards this increased cost to help us keep running.
If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation* and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.
* Many Tears uses Vanguard to vaccinate their dogs.  However, this can sometimes be difficult to source at local vets so if you are adopting a dog or puppy that has only had one vaccination please be aware your vets may require you to start the course from the beginning.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
