29-11-2019 - Glaze is a very nervous ex breeding bulldog cross pug. She a typical pug cross overshot jaw which she manages well with.  She has never seen much of the world so she cowers away and will need alot of socialising. Glaze will need another dog in her new home to help her learn new skills such as housetraining and where the warm spots are to snuggle and snooze. Glaze doesnt walk on a lead and is not used to being handled but is very nice in her nature...the poor girl is just terrified and in desperate need of some TLC and kindness. Please help us show her a new world of love and comfort.

02-01-20 UPDATE

Glaze has been here in her foster home for a few weeks now. She has done amazingly well! She can walk on the lead, and can run free in my secure field. She has also enjoyed walks out on the common, (on a long lead)
The videos show her enjoying both these activities. Glaze is house clean, travels perfectly in the car and gets on very well with the other dogs here. She has been especially delighted to be reunited with Gully her long lost relative, probably her sister. They are like two peas in a pod and so very sweet together.
Glaze is a worried girl and will need time and kindness to allow her to overcome the sad times she has endured in the past. She will need the company and comfort of a kindly resident dog to share her life and help and support her.

24-01-20 UPDATE
I took this picture of Gully and Glaze last night. These two young ladies are so sweet together - both are kind, gentle shy souls who just need loving kindness, comfy beds and access to an open SAFE space for a free off lead run (their complete joy in life) Oh how wonderful it would be if they could stay together.

27-02-20 UPDATE
It's a chilly day today so Glaze is sporting a lovely warm jumper - not sure if she thinks pink is 'her' colour though!! She is such a dear girlie, and it's sad that she still feels very vulnerable, you can see this in her pretty eyes and the worry lines on her darling face. She has her VERY happy times, especially when running about in my secure field - one day she'll be confident enough to feel happy all of the time.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

ADOPTION DETAILS

**FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION REGARDING CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 AND HOW IT IS AFFECTING MANY TEARS AND OUR ADOPTIONS PROCEDURES PLEASE CLICK HERE BEFORE APPLYING FOR ANY DOGS**
The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog.
Large breed dogs over 25kg cost us considerably more  to spay and neuter so if you are adopting a large breed dog we would be very grateful of an extra suggested donation of £10 towards this increased cost to help us keep running.
If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation* and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.
* Many Tears uses Vanguard to vaccinate their dogs.  However, this can sometimes be difficult to source at local vets so if you are adopting a dog or puppy that has only had one vaccination please be aware your vets may require you to start the course from the beginning.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
