If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

07-03-20 Unfortunately little Leo has had to be returned due to a issue that occurred due to him guarding. Leo is a lovely little lad but does have issues that mean he would need to go to an adult only home with people who have had experience with dogs of his nature. Leo walks on a lead and is house trained he sleeps through the night and just loves going out in the car. Any potential adopters will need to have a good chat with us and the fosterers just to make sure he's the perfect fit for there family as we don't want to see this little man bouncing in and out of potential forever homes.

30-03-20 UPDATE
Leo is super fast, very active and extremely bright.  He is also very naughty and needs an experienced home who will work with him.  He would make a great agility dog (he's 10" at the shoulder) but we are looking for a home who have the time and experience with dogs like him to turn him into the superstar we know he is going to be.

28-04-20 UPDATE

We did a little agility with Leo this morning so he had something different to occupy his time, rather than just a walk. You could tell by his face that he absolutely loves it, and I think by training him for agility, either for fun or competition, it will focus him, get him to listen and train him to do what you'd like him to do rather than what he wants. If you're interested he weighs just 5.25 kg and is 13" to the shoulder. He is a super little dog who just needs training to bring out the best in him and train out his bad bits. He's cuddly, he's happy and very bright and always gives a great welcome.

15-05-20 UPDATE
Leo has been in foster with us for a week now and he's been a delight. He is great in a home and respects the larger dogs here. Leo is very active and needs to be in a home where he will have plenty of mental and physical stimulation. As mentioned above Leo would be great at agility and he absolutely loves jumping the jumps we have made in the garden. We have had advice from Many Tears own dog trainer and are currently working with Leo's food issues, he appears to be improving and is not so possessive over treats, and given the correct que will now leave food alone if he is near it. Leo will still need experienced owners and will thrive in an environment where he has consistency. Leo needs to be given boundaries and he is learning to respect these. Leo is absolutely wonderful off-lead and doesnt go far from humans, and his recall is great. Leo can be an absolute bundle of joy and has lots of love to give to the right people, he is generally a happy waggy dog and absolutely loves to chase a tennis ball! Leo is in ongoing training and the issues are being worked on. Leo loves to have a job and is thoroughly enjoying clicker training, the more his brain is kept active during the day the more he's happy to chill out in an evening and cuddle up. Leo is house trained, walks on a lead, loves adventuring, sleeps through the night with no issues and is happy off lead. Leo has absolutey loved exploring the forest that we live in and would suit a home with bigger dogs and no children. With continuation of his training, Leo will make someone the perfect companion and deserves a loving home just as much as any other dog!

20-05-20 UPDATE
Leo went to live and be fostered by Bryony a member of staff. There are three other dogs there and they are all bigger than him. He has a busy life but has not threatened snapped bitten or growled for over a week now.
We feel he needs a home with larger playful dogs
We feel he needs people who understand naughty dogs and are happy to sort out any problems that arise.
We feel he needs adults who want to continue stretching his mind and giving him a lot of exercise.
I personally feel he could be an agility mini super star. I also feel there is someone out there who would be thrilled with this sweet sensitive dog who just took the wrong path as he grew up, but the bad is being ironed out to leave the amazing to shine through.

If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation* and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

* Many Tears uses Vanguard to vaccinate their dogs.  However, this can sometimes be difficult to source at local vets so if you are adopting a dog or puppy that has only had one vaccination please be aware your vets may require you to start the course from the beginning.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
