If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

06-10-19 Leo has come into our care with his friend Lexus. They are two older Yorkies that have happily lived together for 11 years and so we would really happy for them to be homed together and their fosterer will assess if they can be separated or homed as only dogs. They have lost their home through no fault of their own and have gone straight into foster care as a kennel is no place for two little Yorkies who have been loved and cherished. They are confident, happy little dogs and have lived happily with a cat before - although if they see one out on a walk they will attempt to chase and see it off. They are quiet, clean in the house, non destructive and quite honestly wonderful little house guests. They walk well on a lead and are very excited for their walkies as they didnt go our regularly with their previous owner due to sad circumstances. They sleep well at night and can be left for short periods with no anxiety at all. Leo has had a dental and now has just 11 teeth.
Leo and Lexus are a ready made companions for someone looking for a canine friends. They are by donation due to their age.

13-10-19 UPDATE
Having had Leo and Lexus for quite a few weeks now, I've found that they manage really well without each other, often choosing to sleep in separate places and on their own. They are very well adjusted little dogs who can both be left on their own for short periods of time without fretting or barking. They just sleep. Although it would be lovely in an ideal world if they were rehomed together, its become apparent that Lexus prefers to get all the attention to herself and is happy to snap at any dog that tries to muscle in on her cuddle time which she demands frequently! Neither of them depend on any of the other dogs for company, so long as they have their owner they are happy. If they are not homed together, In the right circumstances they could be homed as an only dog or with another resident dog.

Although LEO is by donation rather than the full adoption fee, we ask for a minimum donation of £100 to help cover the costs that have been incurred. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
