If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

08-9-19 Offer is such a darling girl who has come to us from a breeder.  She has a face and personaility you will instantly love - she is so gentle and kind. Offer will need at this one other dog in her new home as that's all she's ever known. She walks on a lead but is very unsure so will need a little more practice with this.  She will also need to learn about house training as she has never been inside a home so this will be a new concept for her.   If you have time, love and patience you will see her transform into a wonderful happy lady who will repay you tenfold with love and devotion.

19-09-19 UPDATE

Offer just enthuses life, she is just so happy and loves everyone and everything.
She spends most of her days running free off lead in our secure fields, initially she would gravitate back to the house and needed to be on a lead to be taken from her secure place, but now she leads the pack when leaving home. She now knows her name and will return to you if one calls 'OfferOfferOffer' and is beginning to respond to the whistle.
Truckle, a fellow foster dog is her best friend, they chase the rabbits through the undergrowth, periodically she will return to us with a smiley face and then off to go again.
Offer is so different to the dog I brought home, freedom to excercise and with a sensible diet regime, she has lost weight (but still has some way to go) an she looks amazing.
Our girl is brilliant with other dogs, she is currently living with eight dogs very happily and has welcomed a foster jack russell into the home. Offer is always at the front of whatever is going on, her happy disposition and constant 'waggy bum' is heartwarming to see.
Treat time is the highlight of her day, she has to wait in turn for seven others to precede her, she pushes in but never snatches.
Toilet training is going well, but occasionally in excitement she forgets. On arrival, lying on the patio of an evening was her place of choice, she would snuggle with a duvet which she had pulled outside. For a future home my requirements are:
* it is imperative that whoever adopts our precious girl will need to continue with her weight loss programme.
* Offer loves dogs so a resident FRIENDLY dog is a must.
* a large garden that she is able to run in
* an owner who is dedicated to working on recall to achieve off lead exploring.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog. You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

In certain circumstances and in particular when it is one of our long term stayers or a dog who is difficult to home we may transport it down the M4 as far as Reading if the adopter is not able to travel for a valid reason. This will only happen on a Sunday and will be part of our Foster Run where we transport dogs to their foster homes. There will be and additional charge of £20 transport fee for this and the adopter must be able to travel to the allocated service station. Please think very carefully before asking for a dog to be transported as if you already have a dog there is no guarantee they will get along with the new dog or vice versa and you will need to be able to hold on to the dog until the following week and meet the van again if you wish to return the dog.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
