If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

6-9-19 East is a stunning Cavalier cross who has come to us from a breeder. She is a little cutie but will need a calm and gentle home with a resident dog or dogs already in the home to help her learn to trust people.  This will also help her with house training and lead walking and with some time, love and patience hopefully is shouldntt take her too long to settle into her new life.  We  get her to the groomers and make her feel more comfortable and then she is ready for someone to find her and offer her a home. East has a passport.

28-09-19 UPDATE

East has made some progress since arriving here and has learnt to trust her animal carer but she is still very wary of new people.
As you approach East, it soon becomes apparent that she is frightened of you.
I think if someone is willing to give her time and patience, she will soon relax enough to be handled.
East will definitely need another dog in the home to give her confidence to learn housetraining and harness training.
By this time tomorrow, East will be on her way to her foster home which will help her immensely in overcoming her fears and give East, her first taste of life in a warm home.
East will still be available for adoption and could be in an area near you.

08-10-19 UPDATE

Hi Meet the beautiful East known as MIA here in foster in Bristol. She's come in very scared, flighty and flinches with human touch.
She has been here a week and in that time I can see huge changes. Whilst not loving human contact I can see she is an absolute sweetheart and now greets me with a waggly tail and little kisses. If I corner her and reassure her I can stroke her.
She’s not had one accident in the house and has slept on my bed, all be it away from me. She is mixing with 8 other mixed sex dogs of various sizes and she loves them. Shes very playful and comical and does the most amazing commando crawls, so a similar sized playful gentle fur friend is essential.
I would imagine an active family would suit her she has loads of energy, she’s very inquisitive and  loves to sniff and investigate everything.  She would need a very secure garden as she is very agile and can jump walls and is fast.
Shes by no means a ready made pet shes going to need someones time and patience. She has already bucked her way out of a collar and lead in training and this will be attempted again now she's settled a bit more.
Last night she sat with me on the sofa very close to me without fleeing, with continued love and patience she’s understanding humans are a little less scary!  Dog savvy older children would be fine as she is going to be a lovely family dog if the adopter-family understand and is prepared to work with her to gain her trust. Shes not cat tested. She’s a beautiful dog and adopters will be very lucky to have her.

20-10-19 UPDATE
East (known as Mia in foster) has made fantastic progress in the last 3 weeks and we all have fallen head over heels for her. Whilst still timid she loves to sit in between my legs for a cuddle on the sofa. Her body is no longer flinching with my touch. She’s still jumpy with sudden noises and movement but every day i can see her relaxing. Within the house she will let me stroke her quite happily when shes in the garden she will keep her distance and go away from me.
In the pack of 9 shes a major instigator for chase me games. Shes hilarious in play very bouncy and her legs go everywhere. She’s fast and can jump. Everything is interesting to her and I can tell shes really enjoying her new life in a home. She loves all the dogs and plays with all sizes and shes very popular amongst them.
Mia has been clean in the house and gets herself in and out of the garden. She loves her food has shown no aggression just the sweetest natured dog who given more time will be just incredible!. She does have a voice and in play she gets over zealous so sometimes comes out and has barked at visitors but soon settles down with clear and concise correction. Sleeps on her own in a playpen setting although she has shared my bed! She settles beautifully.
She been left for a few hours twice a week. Not yet walking on a lead but has worn a harness and this will be a work in progress she just needed to settle a bit more but will start this soon. She will need a very secure garden, if children they have to be older children who can understand her fears and give her space and time to become their best friend and a similar size friendly playful furfriend to call her own for fun and frolics. Not cat tested.

08-11-19 UPDATE

Mia mt East is just beautiful.  She has been here approx 6 weeks and her progress and transformation just melts my heart its clear  to see she is finally happy to be alive and the world is an amazing and fascinating place to be.
She is still flighty in certain circumstances majority of time she is happy to stop and take a fuss, bum and ear rub and that tail wags beautifully. She actively seeks me out on the sofa and cuddles close. She has the most kind and gentle personality. She has been super clean in the house from the start. Mia is a real foodie and is so gentle when taking treats. Starting the sit command when taking a treat which is happening slowly. Fireworks and household noises hasn’t phased her.
She has been so popular in my pack and a great instigator for playtime chase me! She has been in a secure field and has slipped her harness twice so I would recommend double harnessing and a super secure one. Shes had a groom and was a superstar but didn’t over like the hair dryer.
This girl needs her forever home to complete her journey and shower her with the love she deserves. I’m smitten and I know her new family are going to be too! No small children she has not been cat tested. All she wants for Christmas is you and a gentle playful fur friend.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog.
Large breed dogs over 25kg cost us considerably more  to spay and neuter so if you are adopting a large breed dog we would be very grateful of an extra suggested donation of £10 towards this increased cost to help us keep running.
You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
