If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

04-09-2019 Simon is a 6 month old male pug cross beagle who has come to us from a breeder.  He is a very nervous pup who spends the day hiding in bed out of the way of humans.  He shakes with fear when we are near which is so sad to see at such a young age.  Simon will need house training and doesn't walk on a lead.  He will need another dog in a home without children who would simply overwhelm him.  We are looking for a quiet home with lots of love to give. Simon will need to be neutered at the age of 6 months and will need to attend training classes.

07-10-19 UPDATE

Simon has been with us for just over a month now and has made quite a bit of progress. His confidence is alot better now. He used to hide at the back of his kennel when he first came in to us but now he often comes right up to say hello and sometimes will let us touch him.
He can still be a bit wary but it's a far cry how he used to be. He's been with quite a few different kennel mates now and he's got on well with all of them. Simon is starting to get better at walking on a lead, he's still a bit unsure at times about being on a lead, this will improve ten fold over time with plenty of training. Simon loves to play with the toys in the yard, I often catch him chucking the toys around for himself. With a bit of love and time and patience Simon will transform into an extremely confident dog.

ADOPTION DETAILS
The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog. You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

In certain circumstances and in particular when it is one of our long term stayers or a dog who is difficult to home we may transport it down the M4 as far as Reading if the adopter is not able to travel for a valid reason. This will only happen on a Sunday and will be part of our Foster Run where we transport dogs to their foster homes. There will be and additional charge of £20 transport fee for this and the adopter must be able to travel to the allocated service station. Please think very carefully before asking for a dog to be transported as if you already have a dog there is no guarantee they will get along with the new dog or vice versa and you will need to be able to hold on to the dog until the following week and meet the van again if you wish to return the dog.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
