14-08-2019 Wander is a 6 year old ex breeding female bichon frise . She came to us in the kennals happily, but got a little nervous when we picked her up. Over all, she is a very sweet and quiet girl, but will need another dog in the home to help her settle in and learn new skills like house training. She is full of love and will soon learn how to give it to people.

26-09-19 UPDATE

Spending some time with Wander I've seen what a lovely girl she is!
Although she is very nervous of new people when she gets to know you she comes out of her shell enough to come up and sniff you.
She doesn't yet take treats from my hand but does really enjoy them when you give her space to eat them. She currently shares her kennel with a Beagle and another Bichon and gets on very well with them both.
Wander is going to need a confident resident dog to help her with lead walking, help build her confidence and generally all that comes with living in a home.
Trusting humans is all that is holding this amazing girl back, once that barrier has been broken down I know she is going to be a sweet, happy girl that will make a great addition to her new home.
Maybe you could be the one to give Wander the time, patients and love she so desperatly needs. After 6 years of having little in her life it's about time she had everything!!

14-11-19 UPDATE
This is the beautiful Wander ( I call her Wanda) a bit different from when she first came into rescue. Wander is a gentle soul who is still timid but is trying to be so brave and was very well behaved at the groomers. She gets on well with the other dogs and John the cat and loves to have a play with them all. Wander is the quietest bichon I've ever met, not a barker, She's not that keen on lead walking so it's still a work in progress.
Wander is looking for a 5* home with a kind and gentle dog who will help build her confidence and let her share their bed. If you think can offer Wander that 5* home fill in the application

11-03-20 UPDATE
Wander is still looking for her forever home. She is very wary of strangers, especially men, but once she gets to know you she'll come up to snuggle.
Wander loves going out for walks but goes through a ritual where she dances about, once she's got her harness on, when the other dogs are going to the car she runs in to the lounge and waits to be lifted into the car.
She is a beautiful gentle girl who loves to play with my Yorkie and is now showing her cheekie side.
Wander is looking for a home with another gentle dog who will play with her and is happy to share their bed.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog.
Large breed dogs over 25kg cost us considerably more  to spay and neuter so if you are adopting a large breed dog we would be very grateful of an extra suggested donation of £10 towards this increased cost to help us keep running.
If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation* and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.
* Many Tears uses Vanguard to vaccinate their dogs.  However, this can sometimes be difficult to source at local vets so if you are adopting a dog or puppy that has only had one vaccination please be aware your vets may require you to start the course from the beginning.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
