If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

19-07-19 Punky is a 1 year old male cavapoo who has come to us from a breeder. Cute isn't a strong enough word for this guy! Punky is friendly, inquistive and very responsive so should make training enjoyable for both of you. Punky is so confident and people orientated that we think he would be fine to go as an only dog as long as you have plenty of time to spend with him and focus on his training. We are looking for an adult only home for Punky as he's not fond of children and has masses of energy that will need to be harnessed and used properly. Punky has spent time in a home previously so will likely have some understanding of life in a home.

29-07-19 UPDATE

Punky looks like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth but this little boy does have his problems - but don't we all. The other day i went in to greet Punky, i walked in all confident just like I always had. As i walked in, he made a massive fuss, jumping up and down like a yoyo, i assumed he wanted a fuss and a cuddle, as i bent down to stroke him his turned and snarled at me.
We have no background about Punky so we are unable to know what really went on. So far the only thing we can guess is that he was was bought as a tiny cute puppy and then for some unknown reason was given back to the breeder. We guess the breeder give him to us as poor little Punky only has one testicle so won't be able to stud.
We are looking for a home for Punky where his people understand that he does have some problems, so a adult only home with no children around is a MUST. His new potential adopters will need to come down and get to know him and have a chat with some people that have worked with him so you have more of an understanding to what he is like.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog. You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

In certain circumstances and in particular when it is one of our long term stayers or a dog who is difficult to home we may transport it down the M4 as far as Reading if the adopter is not able to travel for a valid reason. This will only happen on a Sunday and will be part of our Foster Run where we transport dogs to their foster homes. There will be and additional charge of £20 transport fee for this and the adopter must be able to travel to the allocated service station. Please think very carefully before asking for a dog to be transported as if you already have a dog there is no guarantee they will get along with the new dog or vice versa and you will need to be able to hold on to the dog until the following week and meet the van again if you wish to return the dog.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
