If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

04-07-19 - Ella is slightly nervous upon first greeting but she is okay to be handled. She has some teeth missing and will have a dental with our vet so is likely to have more removed. She doesnt walk on a lead yet but we are sure she wont be long in learning. She is very nosey and likes to know whats going on outside her kennel! Ella is a really lovely girl who needs a little time and patience. With another dog to follow in her new home she will learn new skills like housetrainng more easily and have a friend to reassure her. She is by donation due to her age.

29-08-19 UPDATE
Ella has cataracts beginning to form in both eyes. She is managing well with this but they may progress and will need to be monitored by her new owners and their vet.
There is so much I can say about this little girl but I'll make it short and sweet for now. Ella is a beautiful 10yr old ex breeding girl but please dont let her age put you off! This little girl has such a character on her shes fun, loving, and has a right funky side to her when she wants while playing in the yard/sand school.
Ella has come on ever so much since being here in kennels and its amazing to see the transformation to a once shy timid girl to a dog who is now so happy and has a very waggy tail. She can still be a little shy with loud sudden noises or movements but with some reassurance she will settle quickly.
Ella is currently learning to walk on a harness and lead and is doing very well. She will go for a very short walk to the carpark but then wants to go back to her kennel. Ella's kennel worker is working very well with her and is taking her time so that Ella is happy and comfortable with her surroundings and we don't want to push her too far too soon.
In a home i really do think Ella's full personality will shine and whoever has the pleasure of adopting her will have the best time! Ella will need another resident dog in her new home to show her that the big outside world is actually ok, to help her with toilet training, gain confidence lead walking and just generally being in a family home environment. Please consider Ella to be a new family member, she really is such a sweetheart.

What a beautiful little girl Ella is. She has a wonderful nature and is so gentle. She arrived with Erin, (who has since been adopted) and at first seemed to rely on her to give her confidence and to cuddle up to, as she has eye problems. That probably lasted ten days and then Ella came out of herself. She then changed track and decided she liked my boy and where he goes, she goes. Even to the extent to going upstairs and getting on the bed, which is high!!
She doesn't miss much and is first in line for the food. She is house-trained and has started lead training, but is very wary of cars and has to walk with a more confident dog. She stops when she sees another human, but if they have a dog she's there like a shot. She loves other dogs whatever the size!! Ella is a little treasure waiting to be found. She's by donation, but would suit probably an older couple with a friendly companion for her. Don't be put off by her age she's more like a five year old!!

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

Although ELLA is by donation rather than the full adoption fee, we ask for a minimum donation of £100 to help cover the costs that have been incurred. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
