If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

02-7-19 Teddy (was Raven) is a male cocker who has come to us from a breeder. Teddy is a lovely young boy who is very friendly, loves people and really enjoys going for walks. Teddy is not enjoying his time here in kennels and would love a home to call his own! In the right home and right circumstances he could be an only dog as long as he wasn't left for too long as he needs extra time and patience to learn about housetraining and give him some much craved-for company.

11-08-19 UPDATE
Raven is now called Teddy and has sadly been returned to us after a short adoption and was described by his adopters as being very lively, not obedient and as having issues with resource guarding so he is not a beginners dog. This was what we were told when he was handed back to us however we have seen no evidence of this so far and he has been very sweet with us. We think he possibly doesn't show his issues until he is comfortable and settled in a home so this is something potential adopters would need to bare in mind. We are looking for a child free home for Teddy at the moment. Teddy has gone to an experienced foster home who will work on these issues with him and ensure he gets the exercise and free running that he needs. So far he has meet all the dogs in his foster home well and has been up the mountain for a walk. He walked well on the lead with 3 other dogs also on leads.  His fosterer will update once he has settle in more.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog. You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

In certain circumstances and in particular when it is one of our long term stayers or a dog who is difficult to home we may transport it down the M4 as far as Reading if the adopter is not able to travel for a valid reason. This will only happen on a Sunday and will be part of our Foster Run where we transport dogs to their foster homes. There will be and additional charge of £20 transport fee for this and the adopter must be able to travel to the allocated service station. Please think very carefully before asking for a dog to be transported as if you already have a dog there is no guarantee they will get along with the new dog or vice versa and you will need to be able to hold on to the dog until the following week and meet the van again if you wish to return the dog.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
